Reckoning

Addressed to: Everyone
In my lifetime I have spilled from myself an ocean of blood, a mountain
of bone, enough flesh, I daresay, to fill Kethuru himself. I have
forsaken all in the hope that I, in some way, could improve this land.
I've been met at every turn by the sort of blind ignorance, hate, and
utter stupidity that I once thought were nothing that existed in the
real world. I thought such evil as this land's could only exist in
stories. I was wrong.
Truth, here, is a disgusting word only dared to be spoken by the most
horrible of creatures. Acts of vicious cruelty are regarded as forms of
highest virtue, and the only true currency traded is blood. Contrary to
popular belief my only goal in life was to help all of you, to show you
the error of your ways. But such a strong truth I preached! It sounded
to the ears of you miserable masses like the most dangerous venom, a
serenade of evil beyond mortal comprehension.
WHY? Why do I sit here and throw myself time and time again into the
pits of Nil so that you horrible cretins may prosper?! I've nothing to
gain and everything to lose from you all; you're blind, deaf and dumb,
each and every one of you. Crawl through the Basin until you rot, little
maggots that you are. I owe you nothing.
As for the gods, they can be no smarter, for any race of beings that
would sacrifice their lives to create you pitiful little things that
corrupt this world is beyond any sort of forgiveness; I can only feel
hate for them, the same hate that I feel when I gaze upon this ruined
Basin of Death.
I cannot stand it any longer! I wish I could destroy you all and let the
process of creation start anew.
So that is what I will do.
I have found it, the perfect weapon. It is flawless in design, and with
it I will damn you all. I have passed judgement, and now you will be
punished.
I will leave you. I hereby take my leave from this world; I will hurl
myself beyond the Astral and will almost certainly die in the attempt.
By the time you read this I have already left you. It is too late; from
this day on the world shall march closer and closer to oblivion. My part
is over. I played many roles, and my last one was of that of the judge.
But now my thread will be cut from the pattern of life once and for all.
As my final act in this land I hereby sentence the world of Lusternia...
to itself.
F'ai Glomdoring.
Guido Flagg
