You have missed the forest for the trees. To enemy a Divine, you must
judge Them entirely. The error lies in believing a mortal mind capable
of encompassing a Divine one to do so. If you do not purport the ability
to do this...then if not on reason and logic, what else remains for you
to base your judgments?
None are saying it inappropriate to respond to threats against you. It
is the hubris of the response.
