Let's define savagery.
Is it not the quality or condition of attacking without restraint or
pity? Is it not characteristic of a ferocious assault without mercy?
Does it not imply vicous, brutal, and uncultivated motives?
Then I ask you to reconsider your words. Lady Terentia has offered this
bounty for a reason. It is not done without sorrow for the misfortune or
suffering of those following Brona's misbegotten lead. It is not enacted
without the clear purpose of halting the unrestrained violence being
afflicted by him either.
Brona launches a war against our Order by publicly stating that a
supposed prejudice against all Viscanti exists in our hearts. And yet,
we have clearly stated that it is not the race we abhor but the tainted
hearts and weak minds of those we have been born in to it; and we do not
do this without empathy for their obvious suffering and a belief that
they can be healed. We are not unlike other Orders of Light, and yet, we
are singled out simply because Brona feels it necesary to command others
to shed the blood he himself cannot on a daily basis; he has a lust for
blood and will do anything to see it satisfied.
We have accepted a Viscanti into our fold. She dwells with us in a
reformed state and we care for her as much as any of our other members.
And through this bounty she and the others shall find protection. We
call only for the recognition that Brona's supposed reasonings behind
his wanton onslaught of blood-thirsty whims and are greatly flawed. He
can stop or he can know death himself. It is that simple. The price for
his head has been set. He may pay it himself by discontinuing his
disregard for the reality of the Lady's beliefs and stop misinforming
others of them or he can die.
