Allow me to preface that there has been an extended period of time where my waking was scarce at best and that does mean that there is context that I may be lacking, and so I can only truly speak on what I've heard in seen in the more recent waking weaves I've had. On top of that as most know I'm not the most eloquent in the land, so forgive me for being disjointed.
Firstly I wish to politely note that neither the deeds of the Queen of Celest or Sir Inagin reflect the feelings that the Commonwealth hold towards the Serenwilde or its citizenry. On a professional level, the city has worked to maintain neutral to friendly relations with the Forest and I hope to continue that trend and we send our condolences for the damage that has been dealt to you in recent years. On a personal level, the people of the Serenwilde have been incredibly kind to me for many many years, and I count myself blessed to have met and befriended those in the Commune that I have, and I hope I have the opportunity to continue to expand that blessing for a long time to come.
Which does bring me to a related point, recently my dear friend Huskii was slain upon the Plane of Air by Sir Inagin during a recent Avechary. Now, as Chair I do want to make it clear that while I believe and appreciate the sentiment that this was likely seen as rendering aid and protecting the territory of an ally, we have no issues with people coming and going from the Plane. As this was during Avechary, and because it may not be common knowledge, Hallifax holds a bounty for Sands, paid out to those that empower the Air Lords, which at the time Huskii was seeking to assist in. So while yes, I do believe that Sir Inagin was likely acting to defend an ally, I pray that should he, or others, find themselves in a similar situation that there might be a discussion to determine if someone is a threat before action is taken.
As I mentioned, my waking had been scarce for a time and so I'm unaware of what this alleged issue within Delport is, but whatever the case may be its sounds to be disproportionate retaliation either way. As most nearly everyone knows by now, I stay far from conflicts as I prefer to work through things with words rather than combat, I'm quite squishy as it were. That's not, of course, to disparage those who enjoy combat in and of itself, merely that I wish it could remain skirmishes and training and preparation against larger world ending threats rather than squabbles and border wars.
Before I ramble too much further, I'll close by echoing a portion of Ixchilgal's. Hm. We'll call it 'impassioned' post and say the Serynwodenhillirim is no enemy of Hallifax's. I do hope that the future leads to discussion and mutual understanding of grievances rather than continued bloodshed. And while I do believe that the Queen and those who are following her lead are doing what they feel is right, right does not always mean correct. I hold no ill feelings towards Celest or its people by any means, merely disagree with most any routes of violence.
