True Strength

Earlier Jem Delain commented on true strength. True strength comes not
through your vast knowledge of skills, or your high level. True strength
comes from the heart. I may not be physically strong, but I am dedicated
to the commune, therefore I am strong. I may not be transcendent in
every skill, but I use my wits, therefore I am strong. I do not fight
simply to fight, therefore I am strong.
True strength is much stronger than any artifact. True strength is
passion for your cause. But I ask one question. Why do we fight so? Look
into our past brethren, whence we were allies. Why do we fight so? Years
ago, we united, fighting against one cause. There are still many evils
in this world, many unknowns, many dark corners. This is what we must
fight. Brothers, we must strive to perfect this world, not destroy it,
as we have done.
Should we not join our forces, as we did so many years ago? Knowledge is
a very powerful tool, and through knowledge, comes true strength. One
people cannot do it alone. Once again, to prove my point I will look
into history. When Magnagora defeated Old Celest, the taint was spread
unbarred, and the Serenwilde secluded itself from all civilization. When
we turn against our brethren, we only take steps backwards, instead of
forwards. We became seperated and secluded, doing no justice for our
potential, for we have mountains of capability.
Therefore, in all logic, we should fight no longer, but rather, focus on
things such as exploration, mapping, and the unraveling of quests. We
must unravel the many misteries the Gods have left for us. For example,
whatever became of the Gods? What mysteries still exist on the Astral
plane? So much good could be done, simply if we stopped fighting
ourselves. Let us honor our Gods, and stop destroying the world which
they created for us. Let us offer up to our Gods the knowledge we learn
from exploring. Let us better our world, and learn to live in peace and
harmony. We must learn to compromise, for we may not get everything we
want, but there is always a solution. Honor and love thy brother.

Penned by my hand on the 6th of Dioni, in the year 105 CE.
