True Strength

There is no strength in acquiescence, no honor in surrender.
The taint is a corruption that spread across areas of the Basin much
like an infection. And some succumbed to it while the presence of
Kethuru was strong within its dark form. The race of viscanti's own
history calls them victims of the taint. Not survivors, but victims.
Those of the Light do not recklessly condemn the viscanti or any race.
It is the weak-minded attitude that claims victory through the taint
rather than conceding that those who were and are tainted live a
defeated life that we abhor. How much easier is it to embrace what has
been thrust upon you than to fight to reform one's self?
The purpose of the tainted ones is to bring others into their fold of
submission, to encourage the Basin not to fight this adversity, but to
give in to its demands whether they be physical, spiritual, or
intellectual in nature. Lady Terentia stands with sword drawn against
such ideals. Just as repeated heating and hammering forge the strongest
weaponry and armor, so does true power and the might to wield it come
through self-refinement.
For those who stand against the tide of cleansing and reformation, know
this: Unlike you, we will not falter. We do not choose the easy path.
Bitter words and concocted rebukes do us no real damage nor do they
hinder the enactment of our values. You think you are a power to be
reckoned with, but in the end your own misguided ambitions shall lead to
nothing more than your embodiment as living puppets to a force that
cares nothing for your lives. And this is how we see you, not as worthy
adversaries but as weak pawns. And be it through your deaths or
reformations, we shall see your honour restored and through it the glory
of the Basin and the Light.
