My role in the Disciples

It would seem that my role in the Disciples of Crow has come to an end.
Funny that it should come at the same time as dear Guido, as the first I
heard of his departure was when I sat down to write this. My actions are
the same as his, yet my reasoning perhaps, is different.

Nikua once told me that the only reason I was enemied to Serenwilde was
because of my affiliation with the Disciples, and the threat they posed
to the forest. I miss the feel, the smells, and the sounds of the
northern woods, where I would spend hours debating with centaurs, or
where I would help end the eternal threat to the trees that the weevils
posed. I'd like to think that the "threat" this merchant posed is no
longer that.

As for Magnagora, they have seen fit to enemy me because I'm in
Visaeris' clan. You may debate if this is true or not, but this is the
reason I have found, and believe. Thier problem is with Visaeris, and I
remove myself from the clan affiliation. I would hope that my enemy
status will be changed just as quickly as the day I found I had it, with
no warning, and no explaination. If one removes himself from the
problem, is he still considered part of it? Of course not.

I have for Nikua and Chade, a small goodwill offering for thier city.
This is not an attempt to "buy" my way back, but a gift that may take
freely from me.

I talked to Lady Isune just the other day about restoring the ravenwood
tree to its once majestic state. Apparently though, my motives were
still misunderstood, and I was considered "bad". If this makes me so,
that is your own opinion. However, I have gone one step further than
trying to convince anyone, I have removed any reason for myself to be an
enemy of the people by leaving the disciples. My hopes remain that this
merchant may peddle his wares as freely as he once did, before he joined
a clan to restore a tree.

To the Disciples, our times together were fun, our discussions
enlightening. But you all know as well as I that should I continue down
this course, nothing will come of it but death and destruction. I have
myself to look after, and someday, a family. I do not wish to be hunted
to the ends of the realm... perhaps all of you too will see this, and
rejoin your former homes, or live the life of a non-affiliated rouge, as
I chose.

Sincerely,
Trademaster Richter Carthan
