My Retirement

Hello Boyos,
Well, sadly, as my great uncle once said, all things pass...
Ye haven't seen me around for months as I was pondering what to do with
my life Basically, I've reached the age where I need to do other things
with my life. As of this point, I have officially decided to retire from
my freelance janitor role. Hopefully others will be able to clean up
after themselves. I've been looking forward to this for a long time. Ye
can't be a janitor forever, and thanks to my relative's heavy investment
in the markets, I now have a lot of money so I am not wanting for
anything right now.
So, what will I be doing with my life? Well, some very friendly gnomes
have approached me and decided that I could accompany them "where they
dwell". Those boyos didn't give me details, all I know is that it's
either somewhere in Aetherspace or some other place far away from the
Basin. (I did ask them to keep me away from anyplace where the Soulless
dwell--keep me far away from the Squid, the Worm, the Blob, the Ghost
and any other of the dark beasties and I'll be happy). So, I'll soon be
off on an adventure, and I expect to be gone for a very long time. I'll
be far away from all communications so don't expect answers to any mail
or aethermessages.
In the next several months, I'll probably come around one more time for
a short pass and walk through the basin, saying goodbye to old friends
and acquantences, and seeing the sights one last time. I hope to be able
to pay my respects to all of ye. I will miss many of ye but I always
wanted to travel.
I plan to keep my public space in my manse open, so feel free to visit
if ye need a nice place to get away from it all, read books, or just
relax. Just be sure to clean up after yeselves. The Aethership aspect
will be locked down, however, so nobody's taking it out anymore.
It's been an interesting 100 years or so for me. I started out as a
bondsman in Magnagora, served my time there, became freelance, and ended
up making a name for myself in the Basin of Life. Good and the bad, it's
sure been an interesting life. Now I get to enter the next phase of it.
Apologies for any abandoned projects I had promised long ago. Sometimes
things don't work out.

Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Dvarsh, in the year 205 CE.
