A new version of our web-based Nexus client is now available for testing
at http://newclient.lusternia.com The focus of this release was
quality-of-life updates in regards to client settings, mapping, and
other systems. Here are all the details:
* The client now saves your older settings for up to 9 days, and allows
you to revert to an older version if your current settings get corrupted
or lost; the oldest version is also preserved indefinitely, meaning
you'll always have an older version of your settings to roll back to.
* Handling of large amounts of text ("combat spam") has been
significantly improved.
* When live, the client will uses encryption (https) by default.
* Tab-completion (shift-tab) buffer increased from 10 to 40 lines.
* The mapper now shows the area name instead of room name.
* Map zooming now behaves correctly and persists between areas.
* Some small improvements and fixes on the mapper.
* Settings window is now closed on disconnect, and you can no longer
open duplicate ones.
* Avatar upload issues stemming from the website migration have been
fixed.
* Fixed a problem with the health/mana bar popups getting stuck open.
* Clickable links no longer steal focus from the input line.
* Sound is now off by default for new players.
Shoutouts go out to Zahan of Achaea, whose wildly popular Mapmod addon
was the basis for many of the mapping changes listed above!
As always, should you find any problems or issues with the client,
please submit them via the Feedback form inside the client's settings
window.
