Once again, the artists of the Basin of Life put their creativity to the
test to compete for the coveted Seal of Beauty. From the most prolific
designers to those who possessed almost no experience, almost fifty
mortals stepped forth with offerings to be judged. Between them they
brought forth almost a hundred creations - from gowns to music boxes,
books to weaponry, cakes to instruments, and many more.
It was Zyphora Windwhisper of Hallifax who stood triumphant over all
other artists, her rose-stained tea table of an elder sunpride proving
the pinnicle of all Beauty in these Trials of Ascension. For this she
was awarded the Seal of Beauty for a second time, equalling the record
of Irillia Shevat.
Second place was awarded to said twice-Sealbearer Irillia Shevat of
Hallifax, for her silvery zeppelin music box.
Third place was awarded to Aramel Shevat of Serenwilde, for her sylvan
music box of the fae baths.
Fourth place was awarded to Ynara of New Celest, for her auroral organza
collar dusted with pale, clear stars.
Fifth place was awarded to Xeii Shevat of Hallifax, for her
stained-glass covered manuscript depicting a fairy tale's climax.
Though these five designs rose to conquer all others, the following
designers merit honourable mentions for their exquisite displays of
craftsmanship: Alaksanteri of Gaudiguch (a soft, fondant green tea
Ouroboros cake served with mercury mint leaves), Anita of Serenwilde (a
glorious golden cup cake of the dawn), Breandryn of Gaudiguch (an
antlered forestal headdress), Lorina of New Celest (an aquatic-styled,
azure gown of flowing silks), Rancoura of Glomdoring (a frostmourn
violin of the wintersong), Vatul of Magnagora (a gilded draconian stole
strewn with perfumed blood-diamonds), and Veyils of Glomdoring (a flail
of the roses).
