We have decided to run some gold auctions, something I don't think we've
ever done. We are trying it out with 10 gold auctions for artifacts.

One of the auctions is for the Transplanar Torus, which will be retired
as a normal dingbat artifact. The reason for this is that it was meant
to be the most expensive (thus rare!) artifact in-game but with the
gradual rise of dingbats in game, their value has dropped to the point
where they are valued less than cubix (which is ridiculous). In any
event, you have a chance to get one in this auction and they may (or may
not!) turn up in future auctions.
