The Grand Wine Commission

People of the Basin,

I am a man of refined tastes and you may have seen my advert for 'The Forbidden Grotto' via the Aetherplex where you can peruse a selection of luxurious goods, for those with a disposable income.

But I come before you today instead to create opportunity and to inspire the spirit of competition amongst the Vintners far and wide.

It has been decided to commission a selection of wines that will form the basis of whole new vintages for years to come.

Sponsored by Greyside Kitchens, one of the Villarreal's enterprises, I have raised a prize fund of 300,000 gold sovreigns that will be spread across the winning selections.

The brief for these three wine types will be:

Red - full, medium, light bodied
White - full, medium, light bodied
Blood - rich, spiced, trace

I have listed the sub-categories as to further distinguish the options that are available within the three styles.

The intention behind this competition is to establish recognisable styles that will bear your legacy through the years to come, so infuse your entries with local essence (or the essence of locals if you are producing a blood wine) to inspire a generation of vintners to follow your example.

There is no upper limit as to how many entries are submitted by one person and entries will be accepted throughout Shanthin 620 to Shanthin 622.

There will be one winning entry chosen from each style worth 100,000 gold.

For example: The best Red, whether it is full bodied or light bodied or the best Blood wine, spiced or otherwise. However - it must be clearly defined in one of these categories.

The next two favoured entries in each style will be included in a patronage deal that will see your wine advertised and traded by Greyside Kitchens for a 5-year contractual period (where an agreed shipment will be bought from you), that the winning entries will also receive on top of their prize money.

If you have an existing wine recipe that you think deserves to be included a"by all means submit it in place of a new one a"but it should fit within the brief, and you should be able to explain where and why.

The entry will include:

- A sample of the wine or its recipe for those not submitted to their cooking cartels

- An introduction of the wine and what kind of occasion it is suited for

- A name for your wine style that should inspire others to follow you

All entries should be sent to Lufir Villarreal and must have a name so that their entry can be identified.

This commission is sponsored by Greyside Kitchens

I look forward to hearing from you!

Penned by my hand on the 16th of Shanthin, in the year 620 CE.
