The Lost Song of the Fae, Part Two

Grown displacent with the disrespect and mistreatment shown to their
kind, the Fae of Faethorn rose together in one voice, under the
Thornroot Movement. Intolerant of both the Serenwilde and Glomdoring
alike, the fae spoke out against their kind being forced to leave their
home of Faethorn, where they proudly proclaimed their hearts to be.

Three of the Fae had joined together especially to form this movement,
going by the names Perriwinkle, the husband of Butter; Laeroc, the
Queen's Consort; and Antris, the Falconer who wandered the realm. The
Young One, the little fae girl, as well as Butter Sweetpease seemed also
a part of the movement, but the means of which were unknown, until each
had proclaimed their parts down, each for a months turn.

In a grand spectacle, all three of the fae returned to Faethorn, forming
a circle around the little fae girl. With soil, seed, and sustenance, a
marvelous rose bush was grown, and a leaf fell under the gaze of both
Moon and Night. Taking the leaf into her small hands, the little Fae
girl bowed her head as once again, the circle disappeared, glimmering
motes of light trailing upwards into the aether - where, few had any
idea. Only when the idea to take advantage of aetherships arose, was
their location discovered. Nestled in the aetherspace of the Ethereal,
was the Tree of Tree's found...the Mother of Mothers, the Spirit of the
Trees. The Old One, before which the Young One prostrated herself, to be
imbued with the Great Spirits knowledge.

Without hesitation, the Thornroot movement abandoned those that had
followed them without a second glance, returning to the realm of
faethorn with the little fae girl much changed. As their forms once
again materialized, the Rose Bearer, the Young One, the Fae girl began
once more to sing. And this time, her song was not ended from outside
influence, the song known as the Song of Ail'fae Rhunia - and her song
penetrated the entire realm, and outwards. The Fae began to stray from
where they had been tied, and in a final move, severed themselves from
Moon and Night alike, returning en masse to the realm they called home,
beckoned by the Song.

And though their anger, their sorrow, even perhaps, their madness, if
some accounts by individuals were to be considered truthful were then
gone, erased by the Song, it can only be called to question how long it
will be until the fae are again swayed outwards - and how long until the
Song of the Tree of Trees is once again needed.

Penned by My hand on the 15th of Tzarin, in the year 144 CE.
