Lost and Found

What began as a simple test turned to an incredible discovery as the
Elder Gods Lacostian and Elcyrion worked together.

Elcyrion called His Brother Lacostian to Mount Seirode and urgently
explained to Him that He had created an orb, modeled from Xyl's original
creation to peer into the Void. Xyl was the last God successful at such
an awesome task, the sheer power and risk involved uncalculable. As
usual, it remained untested and Elcyrion begged indulgence from
Lacostian to help start the experiment.

Lacostian, fearful of what such an experiment could do to creation
itself, doubted Elcyrion's wisdom. After many minutes of back and forth
discussion, Lacostian relented and agreed to raise a shield of power to
help protect Lusternia.

Elcyrion urged Lacostian to follow Him and so They then relocated to the
centre of the Transcendental Fulcrux. Elcyrion delivered a large
mist-enshrouded orb and showed it to Lacostian. Lacostian pondered the
device a moment before relenting and raised a shield of power around it
to protect Lusternia should anything go wrong.

When Elcyrion was ready, He and Lacostian began to feed the orb with
Their essence. As the device was activated, Raezon shouted from wherever
He had been lurking of His criticism of the occurence. He appeared
before those gathered and watched as well, wary of those working with
something that could undo creation itself.

Lacostian and Elcyrion began to see images within the sphere, They had
pierced the Void and could actually see within it. The clarity of the
device was left wanting, however, as the images were mere blurry blobs
and actual shapes were difficult if not impossible to determine.

Raezon, not to be left out, joined His essence by adding a tendril of
His power as well, and They began to see a bit more clarity. The three
of Them were able to see three figures fighting what seemed to be a
Soulless, but they were quite unsure.

They were able to distinguish the three figures as Divine, Their essence
alone marking that trait. They noticed Fain due to His reddish tinge,
Hajamin as a brilliant form, and a dimmer form They surmised could
potentially be Terentia.

They realized the Three beings were being consistently pushed back by
the unknown entity, such power it was to have to fight against three of
the Elder Ones Themselves!

The gathered Gods were at a loss of how to help until Lacostian happened
upon an idea. Deciding to throw a life line of pure essence out into the
Void in the hopes that all three of the Gods stuck there would grab onto
it and be saved.

The situation was dire, could they risk what appeared to be a Soulless,
actually consume three more Elder Gods? They had to act quickly and try
to save them.

It required massive amounts of energy and concentration from the Three
Gods gathered. They formed Their essence into a rope, sending it through
the Fulcrux and into the Void. Through the sphere they saw the strand of
power reaching towards the figures in the Void and after a moment, the
figures had grabbed the essence.

Elcyrion, Lacostian and Raezon yanked on the essence, roughly pulling
it, and those holding onto it, towards Lusternia. After a moment of
time, the Transcendental Fulcrux expanded as suddenly Terentia crashed
down before those gathered and Fain followed after. The essence line
collapsed, and there was no trace of Hajamin, leaving two unconscious
divine and a host of questions.

Suddenly, ontop of the situation already in effect, Elcyrion's device
exploded with a massive surge of power. Had Lacostian not placed the
shield of power, one can only guess at the potential effect.

Lacostian, realizing the gravity of Terentia and Fain's injuries,
surmised that it will be difficult to heal them. Elcyrion acknowledged
Their affinity to the Cosmic Planes may help and that should be where
They would be taken.

Lacostian shouted for Archangels of Celestia to come by His command, and
Raezon called forth the Archdemons of Nil. The respective entities,
under orders of Lacostian and Raezon, gathered about the fallen Divine
and carried Them back to the Cosmic Planes.

Upon Celestia, Japhiel was noticed to be watching over a large stasis
bubble of power and housed within the bubble appeared the form of
Terentia in a stable but critical condition. He bid those of the Light
to find essence, use it to empower the fallen Goddess so that She may
recover once more.

In Nil, the Voice of Baalphegar commanded those of the Taint to find
dark essence necessary to restore their God Fain to His prior status, as
He too was encased in a bubble of flowing energy which stablised His
condition.

After over a month of repetitive essence gathering, constant battles and
urgent prayers, a shift of power resounded throughout Celestia and a
brilliant white flash exploded near Japhiel's studies. Terentia, having
restored Herself with the assistance of the hundreds of pure light
essence filling Her bubble, rose above the sky of Celestia.

Quickly She shouted, demanding to know 'If it was too late, or if He had
'it'. She left no allusion to what She spoke of, and without much of a
response, She disappeared from the Plane of Celestia only to appear
moments later in the sky above New Celest. Hurriedly She went towards
the Transcendental Fulcrux and forced Her way through it and back into
the Void.

Moments passed, and people began to wonder what had caused the just
restored Goddess to go to the one place that had nearly destroyed Her.
Suddenly, She emerged once more, this time clutching what appeared to be
a large crystal sphere close to Her. Taking one last look about,
Terentia was seen disappearing into New Celest, taking the crystal with
Her.

Not long after, the same cataclysm rocked Nil as Fain was able to
restore Himself as well. As He escaped His bubble and regained His
power, He shouted across Lusternia, demanding to know if 'She had it
yet'.

His simple query was quickly answered as shouts of mortals across the
land stated in varying degrees that Terentia had a crystal. Terentia
Herself shouted that it was too late for Fain to Fain's utmost anger.

These recent events leave many questions lingering. Will Elcyrion ever
be able to recreate the true effect of Xyl's master creations? Is
Hajamin still alive, alone in the Void against a being of unsurpassed
power? What is this crystal sphere that was retrieved from The Void?
What was Fain doing in the Void anyway?

Penned by My hand on the 3rd of Urlachmar, in the year 139 CE.
