Tale of the LoFTY Thieves and the Dracnari Beastmasters

Alarms were set off among the dracnari as they were put on alert that
certain tomes were stolen, containing knowledge thought only to be known
to dracnari, knowledge dating back to the days of Gaudiguchi. However,
the rest of the Basin became more and more concerned as livestock was
being stolen from the stables around the land. More worrisome, they
seemed to come back in larger numbers, transformed into strange beasts.
Meanwhile, leaflets were found scattered in the cities and communes,
written on behalf of a group called LoFTY. Further, young members from
prestigious families had suddenly gone missing. It was only a matter of
time before people began putting the pieces of the puzzle together.

Eventually, unable to find the thieves while the disappearing and
subsequently mutating animals were growing out of control, the dracnari
decided to seek help from outsiders. Gathering on Avechna's Peak were
Charestu Thech, Shibuchi Tleeth, Druchoro Tleem, Teaka Iborchi, Charestu
Thech, as well as Ushinaa Xireoro of Zoaka. Also present was the
spiritual leader of the dracnari, the Most Venerable Dairuchi, Shimotabi
Xiim. Together, they created something called a "flesh pot", a strange
concoction into which they put pieces of the mutated animals. From
there, they created balls of flesh out of the ooze, which were able to
search for the source of the mutations. It was Rika, followed by Lehki
and Galaphyrae, who finally discovered the source of the mutations.

It turned out to be the mysterious LoFTY, or the League of Free Thinking
Youths, who turned out to be nothing more than a group of wayward
teenagers. The leader was Yirit Iborchi, a young dracnari frustrated at
not being chosen as one of the heirs to the knowledge of dracnari.
Recruiting from across the basin, including Eithne Talnara of
Serenwilde, Astor Dekoven of New Celest, Filib Inseira of Glomdoring,
and Kalas Keryn of Magnagora, all members of notable families, they
plundered what knowledge they could and began the experiments that
wrecked havoc across the Basin.

Not wanting to bring the wrath of the notable families down upon the
dracnari, instead of executing the thieves as was their right, it was
decided that the wayward youth would finish their training in the lesser
arts of the dracnari, in order to know better what powers they were
trying to control. Thus has the knowledge of Beastmastery been delivered
to the rest of the Basin of Life.

Penned by My hand on the 4th of Tzarin, in the year 218 CE.
