Commodity Prices

We have been tweaking commodity prices and village production for a
while now, with part one of this endeavour outlined in Changelog #2985
and part two in Changelog #3149. It's time for part three, and this one
warrants an announcement post to bring all Trade Ministers' attention to
these changes.
Commodity prices in village commodity shops have been lowered once
again, this time bringing them back to their old levels. In Lusternia,
price inflation can actually be fought! The new base prices oscillate
between 35-150 gold, a far cry from the old 200-500 range. Trade
Ministers may want to adjust prices at which they buy and sell
commodities in the cities and communes, but the warehouses should also
be fine if left as-is.
Remember that even though the prices are now significantly lower, you
won't waltz in to eggs at 5gp in Delport. If interested, read the
aforementioned changelogs for a summary of how pricing works in
villages. In short, prices drop below base price only if the village has
more of a commodity than its target amount. For Rikenfriez, that target
is 100 eggs. Once they exceed that, the price of eggs will drop below
the new base of 35gp. Delport's target is 300, so it takes longer both
to reach the target and to start lowering prices. Completing commodity
quests is the primary way to drive prices down further before making a
purchase.
Finally, this also affects pricing at commodity shops at the pilgrim
camp, with prices increasing and decreasing at different intervals than
before. Should you notice anything amiss or exploitable, please be sure
to bug it.
PS. Also see Changelog #3164 for further changes!
