Perhaps the most remarkable aspect of the Trial of Ascension was that it
was so unremarkable. Some battles are fought before the lines are drawn,
and so Celina of Gaudiguch won the Trial of Ascension even before it
began through the remarkable political maneuvering that resulted in no
other Sealbearer challenging her for the Staff of Ascension. New Celest
chose not to spread the Light. Glomdoring failed to spread the Wyrd.
Serenwilde bowed to the forces of civilization. Magnagora froze its
machines and did not bring its might to bear. And perhaps most
remarkable of all, Hallifax opted to stand aside before the Sealbearer
of Gaudiguch, its ancient enemy. Indeed, all bent the knee to Gaudiguch
to allow its Sealbearer to ascend to the greatest heights that a mortal
can!

Thus has Celina ascended to become Cyndarin, the True Ascendant of War!
Congratulations, Lady Cyndarin! And, congratulations are also due to
Gaudiguch, who has proven itself able to cow all other organizations in
the Basin of Life!
