Log session starting at 23:44:00 on Sunday, 7 July 2024. Edited by: Takhre The sands of the dreaming suddenly lift you up and send you sailing out of the dreamrealm. The eyes of Qoivhae become orbs of swirling, glittering sand. Forest alongside Moon River. The area is bathed with silver light as a robust defensive aura suffuses the air due to a shield shrine of Lisaera nearby. Silvery moonlight sparkles in the air. A White Copper Censer of Honey Redolence floats in the air here, suffusing the surroundings with the mingling scents of peppermint and pine. Thick hedgerows surround this part of the forest, leaving only a discrete trail that runs parallel to the river beyond. Thin pine trees stretch above the lower bushes, leaving only a few shards of light to dangle through the thick foliage. The sound of the flowing river mixes with birdsong to fill the air with nature's sweet melody. A clump of golden, four-leaf clovers sway in the breeze here. A sedge of galingale is firmly planted in the forest floor. A marjoram bush flourishes here, spreading its delicate scent. Sprays of chervil cover the forest floor. Lovely coltsfoot carpets the forest floor. A solstice stocking has been hung here. A mature oak tree stands proudly here. Reaching up as high as the eye can see looms the awesome presence of a living totem. Eddies of frost swirl around the graceful form of a huge snow phoenix with icy wings. A powerful aroma emanating from within, a Censer of Wonder rests here. Resplendent light rays reflecting and refracting from thousands of brilliant facets, a delicate gem golem glimmers here. Pilgrim amongst the Cairns, Eluisa Starfall is here, sprawled on the ground. She wields a luminous hammer of Mother Moon in her left hand and a dazzling petal shield in her right hand. Silver Regent Xiran Stormcrow is here, sound asleep. She is surrounded by a deflection bubble. You see exits leading northeast and southwest. Pilgrim amongst the Cairns, Eluisa Starfall says, "Not a very restful sleep." You have emoted: Xiran laughs ruefully. Pilgrim amongst the Cairns, Eluisa Starfall says, "... did the Fellowship botch things there at the end?" You say, "I am not sure. Naesan is at the Aetherplex. So perhaps we can learn if they managed." Eluisa nods her head emphatically. Eluisa begins to follow you. (Coven): You say, "Although Naesan was also one ah, possessed by Panaxra. So take it as you will." You see the following people here: Galaphyrae, Eluisa, Xiran. You curtsey gracefully before Galaphyrae. You take an emerald-hued snowglobe from a pouch of stitched fireflies swarming in silver. You shake an emerald-hued snowglobe vigorously, sending snowy flakes swirling about the inside of the snowglobe. As the flakes swirl about the Tree of Trees within, you cannot help but become entranced by the wintry scene depicted, and a sense of longing fills you. You suddenly look up, realizing you are not where you were before. Eluisa follows you ether. The Aetherplex Chamber. The spherical chamber is formed from a hollow geode comprised of dozens of precious gemstones. Large jagged formations of rubies, sapphires, diamonds and emeralds line the walls and ceiling. The floor has been cut and polished to a brilliant shine, revealing concentric circles of brilliant colours. Upon close examination of the glassy floor, shimmering reflections briefly glide across its smooth surface of wondrous mansions and abodes. A current of electricity continuously runs throughout this mineral wonder, causing tiny sparks to erratically blossom up and down the crystalline formations. Shimmering with aetheric energy, a bright glowing portal floats here in midair. An orderly poster of invitation has been displayed here, bearing an accredited seal. Spattered with bits of moss, a poster has been displayed here. With a commanding presence, Nimuire Duskbloom observes her surroundings. An enthralling archdemon wearing an infernal bone mask prowls nearby, exuding an insidious aura of tempting iniquity. There are 10 glistening platters of rose-shaped potatoes here. There are 19 platters of spicy barbecued pork ribs here. In the shape of an open palm, a metallic sigil lies here. Smoke curling from her nostrils, a dusky black nightmare paws impatiently at the black clouds roiling beneath her hooves. Fanning out an impressive frill of burgeoning begonias, a flourishing vinestalker twitches narrow, tufted stems of spiky asphodel here. Impeccably dressed for adventure, a gentleman scientist of refined bearing is poised nearby, his diabolical inventions at the ready for casual violence. A tremendous emerald and onyx hydra with wings of coruscating black flame looms here, five heads snapping viciously. Strong-Arm Zdrada, of the Hidden Temple with a Nymph face looms here, projecting an aura of command. He wields a gold-etched black iron glaive with both hands. Swirling clouds of purest white meld to outline the ghostly figure of a stormy air elemental here. A golden oak tree depicted on his armour, a fae knight stands here, proud and shining. Huskii Myeras stands here, enrobed in an array of swirling, autumnal leaves. They wield a cold snap whip in their right hand. A fire elemental burns here, riotous red flames twisting in chaotic patterns. Esei frowns deeply, lines creasing their forehead. They wield a dagger of seething shadow in their left hand. A baleful crow perches here, crimson eyes piercing in their glare. The shadowy form of a Daughter of the Night stands here, exuding wyrden power from within swirling black robes. Sower Valinea, who meddles too much is here, phased. You see a sign here instructing you to use the PORTAL command to enter the aetherplex system. There is an aetherways portal here. You see exits leading north (open door), south, out, and through a bright, glowing portal. You put an emerald-hued snowglobe into a pouch of stitched fireflies swarming in silver. Eluisa blinks. In a raspy, androgynous voice, K'ahe'mor Tirah Mzithrei, of the Haze-Wreathed Ebon says, "Crossroads maybe?" Esei tilts their head inquisitively at Nimuire Duskbloom. Huskii Myeras says, "Likely back to her hammock?" Voice muffled by his mask, Warlord Uzriel d'Vanecu, Demagogue of Dissonance says, "They walked out." Wyrden Haruspex Esei Shee-Slaugh, of the Ascending Dusk murmurs, "Perhaps." Esei nods at Uzriel. You say, "Sorry, what news did we miss?" You see Nimuire Duskbloom shout, "Is it done?" Kalas Zagreus, the Devouring Blade says, "Pact broken, and all six False Gods slain." Kalas Zagreus, the Devouring Blade says, "It is done." Valinea ponders the situation. You sense the following people: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Einke - the Aetherplex Chamber Eluisa - the Aetherplex Chamber Esei - the Aetherplex Chamber Mellori - the Aetherplex Chamber Tikki - the Stairs of the Last Nine Tonatiuh - before the Eternal Flame Veldrin - the Stairs of the Last Nine Xiran - the Aetherplex Chamber ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (*) Currently, there are 32 Lusternians, 24 of which are hidden from you. Tikki opens her eyes and yawns mightily. Huskii nods their head at you. Esei tilts their head and listens intently to Nimuire Duskbloom. Huskii Myeras says, "All that sleeping, I'm due some rest..." Ferelith cackles hellishly. A wry smile spreads across your face. Disciple of the Tah'vrai, Ferelith D'Cente says, "Can I eat the other... fineee." Ferelith calls out "Thank you." The air about Zagreus begins to warp with a sickly emerald light, half-formed, alien horrors appearing in two-dimensional images, cast like shadows. Screaming and howling and shrieking in wordless wrath, terror and hunger they extend their hands upwards before the light pulses and fades away, a gibbering whisper edging your mind for some time after. Tirah smiles wryly at Huskii. Veldrin hums innocently to themself. Huskii Myeras says to you, "Keep an eye on things... 'fraid I need to head to my cottage." Your soft voice reaches out to Kalas Zagreus, the Devouring Blade, tickling his ear, "Thank you for the instructions in the endeavour, Ascendant Kalas." Wyrden Haruspex Esei Shee-Slaugh, of the Ascending Dusk says to Nimuire Duskbloom, "Do you have any direction now, Lady Duskbloom?" You have emoted: Xiran salutes with an exquisite ink brush. A loamy smell wafts from Zagreus, reminiscent of the tainted earth. A cone of sparkling light rises up around Huskii and whisks them away. Zagreus hisses sibilantly into the corner of your mind, "We did the thing." (Serenwilde): Huskii (from the Aetherways) says, "Off to rest. good hunting Mellori furrows her brow in thought. ---> LOOK NIMUIRE Perfectly curled blonde hair spirals down this elfen's back, highlighted with a shadow of natural lilac behind her flawlessly arched ears. Although mismatched in colour, her eyes convey a deep sense of seriousness as they gaze, rapt with attention, at their target. The left eye, the colour of the slate found at the darkest depths of the mountains, stands speckled by wisps of stark white; the right eye is a bright blue, with small streaks of yellow erupting outwards from the center. This elfen stands roughly eighteen hands tall, with an hourglass frame. A cloak of handspun silks drapes opportunely over her shoulders, the outward facing chestnut fabric thinning and thickening to create the outline of a tangled root network that expands across the fabric. Soft taupes comprise her tunic, modestly laced at the bosom, however left open and loose below. Clenched tightly around her hips, a tactical leather belt buckles around her, holding several key instruments of her craft - a wooden wand, an athame, several unlabeled bottles, and an herb pouch. Loose fitted trousers of black leather tuck into a set of high-laced boots, notched with countless small cuts in the hide. A highly polished, silver diadem lies centered on top of her head, its small hanging leaves entwined within the depths of her bright curls. A labyrinthine pendant of encircled roots hangs from a single piece of worn leather around her neck. Nimuire Duskbloom does not even register your presence as a threat. Tirah urges Ferelith onwards. You curtsey gracefully before Nimuire Duskbloom. Hands folded in front of her, Eluisa bows solemnly. Fanning out an impressive frill of burgeoning begonias, a flourishing vinestalker twitches narrow, tufted stems of spiky asphodel here. There are 5 dusky brocade moths here. There are 2 curious young kittens here. A vicious, magpie crow flies here with wings spread. A tremendous emerald and onyx hydra with wings of coruscating black flame looms here, five heads snapping viciously. Pilgrim amongst the Cairns, Eluisa Starfall is here. She wields a luminous hammer of Mother Moon in her left hand and a dazzling petal shield in her right hand. Swirling clouds of purest white meld to outline the ghostly figure of a stormy air elemental here. A golden oak tree depicted on his armour, a fae knight stands here, proud and shining. A fire elemental burns here, riotous red flames twisting in chaotic patterns. Wyrden Haruspex Esei Shee-Slaugh, of the Ascending Dusk floats here, suffusing the air with the sickly-sweet scent of blackthorn blossoms. They wield a dagger of seething shadow in their left hand. A dramatic harlequin is here, limber and ready for any performance. The shadowy form of a Daughter of the Night stands here, exuding wyrden power from within swirling black robes. The People's Steward, Farlaris Mes'ard is here, shrouded. He wields a mirrored shield in his left hand and a hekoskeri-shaped mandolin in his right hand. A baleful crow perches here, crimson eyes piercing in their glare. You see a sign here instructing you to use the PORTAL command to enter the aetherplex system. There is an aetherways portal here. You see exits leading north (open door), south, out, and through a bright, glowing portal. (Coven): Galaphyrae says, "Is there suspicion this is what Panaxra wanted to happen? Though it seemed the dream gods had been stirred to an action before ... was that action interfering with Panaxra?" (Coven): Eluisa says, "It sounds as if they were in some sort of pact with Panaxra? Have we heard from the Elders since last moon?" Yuli Re'Leo says, "Quiet..." Reality warps as the unstable collision between the dreaming and the Prime Material Plane reaches a fractured equilibrium. Your body and mind lurch as you are shunted between a dreambody and your physical body more than once. Pyawr nods his head in agreement. You sway back and forth. Esei creases their brow in a frown. Flakes of snow swirl from the ground up, coalescing into the form of Arix, clutching a snowglobe. Using their tongue and the roof of their mouth, Tirah makes a quiet clicking noise. Mellori lifts her eyebrow slightly, curious. Wyrden Haruspex Esei Shee-Slaugh, of the Ascending Dusk whispers, "I do not suppose anyone else felt that?" Softly, Darach Tylwyth Nightshade, Keeper of the Blacknest says, "Was that good?" In a raspy, androgynous voice, K'ahe'mor Tirah Mzithrei, of the Haze-Wreathed Ebon says, "Weird feeling." Softly, Darach Tylwyth Nightshade, Keeper of the Blacknest says, "I did." A loamy smell wafts from Zagreus, reminiscent of the tainted earth. Pilgrim amongst the Cairns, Eluisa Starfall says, "I might lose lunch..." (Coven): You say, "Panaxra was the entity met by the dreamers at the mirror, and presented themselves a saviour of Father Sun. Folk seemed to play along, careful in speech except in Balach Swamp, where the entity seems to avoid the Soulless Muud and they were able to explain the ruse. It seemed Panaxra wanted to drain Spirit Sun like how the Eater and Grandmother Scorpion were drain--bluh." (Coven): You say, "Pardon. That was a strange sensation." As the boundary between reality and the Dreaming thins, wisps of dreams appear in your vision - of torturous fears, of blissful peace, of embarrassments past, of yearned desires. Each ghostly scene floats slowly into your vision, visible only long enough for you to register its emotional tenor, before dissolving into translucent motes spiraling in the wind. (Coven): Eluisa says, "I suppose I don't trust the Fellowship to outwit a Soulless." Reality shudders as the Dreaming reasserts its boundaries. The floating vignettes flicker in and out more rapidly and in sharper colors before a sudden loud CRACK that is felt in the mind, not heard. The colors of reality dull slightly before swooning back to usual. It is now the 7th of Dvarsh, 682 years after the Coming of Estarra. A faint chorus is heard from all around, the sound of sun fae keening in disappointment. The collective voices of coronuli, embaruli and nimbuli lament how close they might have been to uniting with Father Sun once again. Nimuire Duskbloom stares implacably about herself. Ferelith hums a happy tune. "Uhh..." stalls Tirah. You have emoted: Xiran sways, struck by the emotions of the song. Your soft voice reaches out to Fair Galaphyrae, tickling her ear, "It seems the coven did not reach beyond. My apologies." Esei murmurs softly to themself. In a cataclysmic convergence of swirling shadows and fractured dreams, Panaxra, the Dreamshade reveals Herself, casting a spectral silhouette against the trembling sky as Her nightmares flood the Basin of Life. You have emoted: Xiran shakes her head as if to break out of some reverie. Mellori creases her brow in a frown. Kalas Zagreus, the Devouring Blade says, "She's a Soulless." A look of understanding crossing her features, Yuli nods her head slowly. Esei exhales slowly, allowing a long fluid breath to creep from their lungs. Kalas Zagreus, the Devouring Blade says, "Saviors my rump." In a raspy, androgynous voice, K'ahe'mor Tirah Mzithrei, of the Haze-Wreathed Ebon says, "Big surprise, that." Pyawr nods his head in agreement. Primarch Shango D'Cente, Dark Animus of the Machine says, "Odd one would survive the rest of the Souless whilst being naught more than a dream." Primarch Shango D'Cente, Dark Animus of the Machine says to Arix, "Likely." Nervously, you say, "The Seals yet hold." Shango strokes the Medallion of Death tenderly. Voice streaked with a multitonal chorus of nightmarish howls, Panaxra, the Dreamshade announces, "You FOOLS! IF you had but listened, this all could have been avoided." Arix Mes'ard says, "Look I didn't build the ascension crime room for nothing." You have emoted: Xiran winces at the discordance. Softly, Darach Tylwyth Nightshade, Keeper of the Blacknest says, "Do we have to go kill nightmares?" Primarch Shango D'Cente, Dark Animus of the Machine says, "They're weak, so eh." Disciple of the Tah'vrai, Ferelith D'Cente says, "Right, right." Voice streaked with a multitonal chorus of nightmarish howls, Panaxra, the Dreamshade announces, "Not even the mortals could discern My deception. I shall have victory, and consume all!" Tirah stares implacably about themself. (Serenwilde): You say, "Perhaps we should return to Serenwilde." A flurry of blackthorn petals arrives from the out, thorny vines sprouting within the floral cloud and twining together to form the body of Esei. Panaxra, the Dreamshade appears, hovering over the Basin of Life, glimmering with an eerie iridescence. No sooner does She appear that She seems to panic, focusing on some yet indiscernible threat. Esei murmurs softly to themself. You see Primarch Shango D'Cente, Dark Animus of the Machine shout, "Shut it you loser. Be fortunate we haven't worked out how to eat Your kind yet." You curtsey gracefully. You portal to the Portals of Serenwilde. Eluisa follows you ether. The Portals of Serenwilde. Superimposed over this location, an ethereal forest reaches up to the sky. The cylindrical chamber has been carved from green, silver-veined marble polished to a lustrous smooth shine. Concentric circles are inlaid upon the floor, alternating with rings of turquoise, moonstone and jade. High above, the ceiling shines with a bright light that pulsates softly and steadily like a heartbeat. The air itself is charged with energy, veritably crackling with power. Pilgrim amongst the Cairns, Eluisa Starfall is here. She wields a luminous hammer of Mother Moon in her left hand and a dazzling petal shield in her right hand. Yuli Re'Leo is here, shrouded. She wields a resin-stained saffron and black viola in her left hand. You see a sign here instructing you to use the PORTAL command to enter the aetherplex system. There is an aetherways portal here. You see a single exit leading out. You scent at the air, your skilled nose picking up the faint traces of others in the surrounding area. Galaphyrae from forest alongside Moon River. Eluisa from the Portals of Serenwilde. Yuli from the Portals of Serenwilde. You lift a hand languidly and send a moonbeam to Galaphyrae. You gently rise into the air and dance along a moonbeam to Galaphyrae. Eluisa follows you ether. Forest alongside Moon River. The area is bathed with silver light as a robust defensive aura suffuses the air due to a shield shrine of Lisaera nearby. Silvery moonlight sparkles in the air. A fresh breeze is blowing through the area. Thick hedgerows surround this part of the forest, leaving only a discrete trail that runs parallel to the river beyond. Voice streaked with a multitonal chorus of nightmarish howls, Panaxra, the Dreamshade announces, "Wait! This can still work. Trust Me. Look, help Me devour the Sun. If We work together like We promised, We can still." Fair Galaphyrae says, "It is a tempting thought." A pert little nose takes in a delicate whiff of Yuli's surroundings. Eluisa tells you, "Had the Elders' council from the other day born any fruit yet?" The Basin of Life is engulfed in a corrosive shroud of darkness and decay as the Virulence of Godith unveils Their presence, a harrowing manifestation of relentless malevolence and corruption, floating above the Southern Mountains. Your soft voice reaches out to Pilgrim amongst the Cairns, Eluisa Starfall, tickling her ear, "Nay. Oh dear." With a low, empty but ravenous rumbling, the voice of the Virulence of Godith thunders into your brain, "YOU are the fool. You betray Us. You betray Our bargain. This world... We could have consumed it by now. But You are now compromised. You are no longer useful. Your essence however..." You shudder violently as a chill ripples down your spine. The much larger amorphous and oozing figure of Godith comes for Panaxra, the titanic Soulless moving faster than one would expect. Globules of corrupted ooze are cast off from Their impressive bulk as They soar over the Basin of Life. Gathering these up, Gorith hurls them at Panaxra. The nimble, smaller Soulless dodges, the corruption hurtling away into the sky. You whisper, "So the oozes..." You crease your brow in a frown. Eluisa chews on her lip, deep in thought. (Serenwilde): You say, "Be careful any oozes encountered." Eluisa sniffs the air while twitching a striped badger nose. Amidst waves of nightmares, dread, anxiety, and psionic disruption, the pair of Soulless take to a chase over the First World. Occasionally, intense blasts of excoroperditio energy are traded back and forth. The Dreamshade manages to keep Herself ahead of the Virulence of Godith, avoiding Her capture. Pilgrim amongst the Cairns, Eluisa Starfall says, "We ought to secure the Wilde once this is over with, perhaps." Pilgrim amongst the Cairns, Eluisa Starfall says, "If- ah-." Eluisa winces in pain. A pert little nose takes in a delicate whiff of Yuli's surroundings. Fair Galaphyrae says, "How did such an incursion go unnoticed by the Elders." The Soulless continue Their chase north, approaching the seas. Waves of the Soulless' influence wash over you, nauseating in Their rapid swings - nightmares that will not end, overwhelming debilitating anxiety, gibbering psionic madness, unspeakable dread for being utterly destroyed, and more. Spilling ever more of its bounty, the light rain develops into a cascading downpour. You sway back and forth. You concentrate for a moment, surrounding yourself with a psionic barrier. Abruptly, a wall of searing brown flames erupts in Panaxra's path above the Inner Sea isles, forcing Her to divert sharply at an angle. The flames lick and scorch at Her heels, following Her path, while the massive form of the Virulence howls in annoyance. You wince in pain. The silvery moonlight here fades away. The sky lightens and stars fade as Father Sun approaches the horizon in his neverending quest to capture Mother Night. Eluisa lurches forward before falling forward onto her hands near the hedge, nauseous noises coming from out of her. Streaks of violet light snake across the morning sky, colouring it a deep purple. ---> LOOK ELUISA She is an alluring sileni sylvan demigoddess and stands at a gangly height with a willowy frame. Her face is dominated by large, brown eyes that are framed by dark bags. Her pupils are long, rectangular slits that always remain parallel to the ground. Freckling begins on either cheekbone, fading as it radiates towards a round nose. Thin lips stretch widely across her face, parenthesized by large creases. Large, spiraling ram horns jut out from either side of her forehead, their size calling into question the weight they add. The longer parts of her black hair have been tied back into a bun that contain it only well enough so that it forms wavy tresses that end just below her shoulders. A small, black, stubby tail protrudes from the back of her hips, forming a teardrop shape that gently droops downwards. She is wearing: a loosely-shaped, modest, ochre robe draped loosely over her entire frame, brushing the ground a wide, maroon sash slung over her right shoulder a waist-worn satchel of leather patchwork and fringe a lacquered sparrow hair pin on the back of her bun a wooden sheep-beaded bracelet on her left wrist the Flame of dae'Seren, its silver chain wrapped several times around her right wrist Fair Galaphyrae says, "Perhaps one will go to New Celest." The skies above the Basin of Life convulse in a terrifying display as swirling shadows intertwine with smoke-wreathed, flickering brown flames, marking the emergence of Marutok, the Revenant, whose malevolent aura casts a pall of dread over all who behold Him. You have emoted: Xiran floats down to rub Eluisa's back comfortingly. Yuli Re'Leo says, "A third..." You say, "Whuh. What..." Yuli Re'Leo says, "Well. It was nice while it lasted..." With a sneering tone, the quiet voice of the Revenant emerges from all around, "Oh Panaxra, did You really think We could truly all work together? You have always overestimated Your little ploys and plots. And all that time You spent spying on Me with Your little minions, too. Time You could have used to further Your own agenda." Yuli gives a pained sigh. With a sneering tone, the quiet voice of the Revenant emerges from all around, "The bargain was idiotic, We should have ignored the advice of the Face-Thief. We would have had more success, each acting for Themselves. The four of Us had agreed-" You say, "Four?!" Fair Galaphyrae says, "Nemach?" Eluisa blinks. Tinged now with disbelief, the quiet voice of the Revenant emerges from all around, "Four... There were four of Us. But Who was the fourth...?!" Pilgrim amongst the Cairns, Eluisa Starfall says, "The Face-Thief could be among us... or more likely, Them." With rage leaking through, the quiet voice of the Revenant emerges from all around, "Enough with the intrigues. Your plan has been foiled. You will not have the opportunity to weave another and through Your folly, now neither can We. Not from the shadows at least." Marutok conjures and hurtles a massive ball of scorching brown flame at Panaxra, striking Her before She has the chance to move. Wreathed in the fire, Her figure emerges from the ball injured, visibly slower. Fair Galaphyrae asks, "What is the furthest spot from Mount Avechna?" Pilgrim amongst the Cairns, Eluisa Starfall says, "Perhaps the Gaaglin." You begin to follow Galaphyrae. Pilgrim amongst the Cairns, Eluisa Starfall says, "Grimkeep if you'd count it. Icewynd?" As Godith advances inexorably on Panaxra, the sky behind them ripples and shimmering as Someone drops Their wards. Kalikai, Her presence finally revealed, strikes Godith in the back with a double-bladed axe and quickly rolls away before the Virulence can respond. Comprehension flashes across your face. An energetic burst of deafening sound crashes across the sky as the voice of Kalikai reveberates, "Manage the other ones while I keep this one occupied! Move!" Yuli Re'Leo says, "Oh hi..." The smell of wildflowers wafts past your nose. Fair Galaphyrae says, "I had a suspicion there was a possibility of seeing Kalikai or Yomigui given all of the fire in the dreams." Twinkling lights fill your vision and coalesce into a starry blue mist which quickly fades away, leaving naught but the scent of a salty sea breeze to herald the arrival of Darvellan, the Navigator. A cool, moist scent cloaks Galaphyrae, washing over you like an afternoon rainstorm. Accompanied by the smell of seawater, the voice of Darvellan, the Navigator rings out, "Remember what We discussed! They are too dangerous, and must be returned to Their prison. I believe I can return Us to that location." Skeins of incandescent light unfurl across the heavens, casting a shimmering wash of luminescence across the Basin of Life as the Majesty of the Dawn turns His attentions once more to the First World. His majestic radiance appears over Mount Avechna, clutching His Dawnspear. Yuli kneels and touches her head to the ground in worship. (Serenwilde): You say, "Four Soulless conspired. Panaxra, the Dreamshade, The titanic oozing Virulence of Godith. Marutok, the Revenant with flickering brown flames. A fourth not known, but apparently the group given advice given by Nohaji the Face-Thief." Galaphyrae glances askance at Yuli. (Serenwilde): Elysian says, "That's less good." Valtreth gestures His spearpoint at the Revenant before propelling Himself forward, engaging in a vicious melee with Marutok for vengeance. You have emoted: Xiran tilts her head. ---> LOOK YULI She is an alluring sileni dawnbringer demigoddess and stands at a shorter stature, barely breaking five feet in height yet her frame characterized by an understated elegance. Her blonde hair cascades gracefully down to her chin, framing her face and accentuating her enchanting allure, while her emerald eyes offer a striking contrast to her fair complexion. The dense scattering of freckles across her cheeks and nose breaks up the pale monotony of her skin, and they continue down her arms and the back of her hands but in a less dense manner. Her slim and muscled physique seamlessly blends with her Sileni nature, accentuating her lithe and agile form. Her torso retains its understated elegance, and her arms, while still fair, bear a subtle hint of the same white fur that adorns her legs. Her lower half is cloven, with graceful, goat-like legs covered in fine, snow-white fur. These legs, ending in delicate hooves, allow her to move with an uncanny grace, almost gliding as she walks. Her nails are neatly manicured, a deep shade of blue with bright white constellations that span across the nails, forming a scene from the night sky upon them. She has small goat-like horns emerging from her head, gently curving back and blending harmoniously with her overall appearance. These horns, a delicate tan shade are smooth and polished, catching the light subtly. The horns begin just above her temples, curling back towards her ears. She exudes a quiet self-assuredness, her demeanor unassuming yet captivating. She is wearing: an ornate, glowing golden lantern pendant on a heavy platinum chain a pair of thin spectacles a silk and wool shawl of varying sunset shades Loathysian prayer beads of blown glass and seashell a gathered blouse with a high embroidered neckline a long skirt with a cheerful sunflower embroidered hem a bunch of yellow freesias (Coven): Galaphyrae says, "I was suspected the fourth was Kalikai in deepcover." Sparks of static crackle angrily in the air, and several bolts of lightning flash from many directions all at once, converging into the form of Zvoltz, the Architect, slightly behind Panaxra. He glares at the receding form of the Dreamshade and hurls something invisible towards Her like a javelin. The air ripples as it streaks towards the Soulless before it strikes, causing Her to visibly slow down and emit a distended, garbled screech of frustration as time warps around Her. Your soft voice reaches out to Fair Galaphyrae, tickling her ear, "It seems she did not give up her allegiance." Spilling ever more of its bounty, the light rain develops into a cascading downpour. With a dignified steeliness, the voice of the Architect resolves out of a thrumming white noise, "Hm. I see Our council was not in vain after all." (Coven): You say, "Can a Divine hide Their essence so?" A swirl of greening petals dance across the firmament, bursting into the shape of Maylea, Bloom of Serenity, who wields Her radiant bow Pathfinder. She draws and releases in one breath, sending arrows of essence that explode against Marutok in orange blossoms that are consumed by brown flames. Sunlight billows across the realm, revealing the full glory of the majestic sun's luminous presence as he climbs higher into the sky. (Serenwilde): You say, "Glory be, O Bloom of Serenity." The shades of colour near the Architect grow ever more muted as the veiled form of Nocht, the Silent materializes next to Him. Unlike the gradual fading of hues around Zvoltz, however, the shadows that cling to the Awakener devour any of the vibrancy that remained. He reaches out towards Panaxra, and with a sharp motion of His hand, causes myriad tendrils of shadow to lash out from every corner, wrapping around the Dreamshade in a suffocating embrace. (Serenwilde): Elysian says, "Get him My lady!" The flame-wreathed form of Marutok hastens towards the Southern Mountains, breathing searing brown flames indiscriminately at the combative figures of Kalikai and Godith. His route is cut off as two Divine Portals open simultaneously over the Basin of Life in front of Him. Galaphyrae's skin flushes silver as argent spheres spin around her in a graceful orbit, mimicking the phases of the moon. A velvety indigo mist roils through your surroundings, carrying a soft, intoxicating scent that promises dark triumphs and pleasures alike as Drocilla, the Enchantress returns to mortal perception. The figure of the Nightmare emerges from a glowing portal of ice and twisting dream stuff opposite the Enchantress, the duo back-to-back before the halting figure of Marutok. Yuli Re'Leo says, "Maybe they'll have a traitor casualty in the meantime..." Her lavender eyes ablaze with fury and desire both, Drocilla appears in a swirl of indigo fog ahead of Marutok, ruby lips half-parted, song almost at Her lips. A spine-tingling shriek shatters the silence of the First World as Drocilla parts Her lips, sending the very firmament shuddering in its wake. Windows shatter, the ground vibrates, but it is the Revenant who is the target and His flames are blown away by the Voice. The Revenants unending hunger spurs Him onwards towards the pair, vast gouts of brownish flames and excoroperditio energies assaulting the pair of Elders. Uncomfortably, you say, "Why does it seem like this gives them a fresh source for the forbidden elixir?" The insubstantial form of Manteekan phases into nothingness, allowing Marutoks attack to pass Him harmlessly by. Even struck, the Enchantress does not cease the song. Her unearthly wail continues, transforming slowly into a haunting otherworldly performance of interweaving harmonious and dissonant melodies that enthrall the Revenant. An unsettling chill runs down your spine as Manteekan, the Nightmare whispers through the air, "Balphomet. Fa tahvuren Nehven Fenayik. Eme fla'enzaling. My Children, Fa tahvuren!" A massive, inky black bogie appears through the portal, curling its sinuous shadows as its body drips from the portal. "You heard Him, the Spear you lousy maggots. Form up!" A stream of caliginous bogies pour from the mouth of the portal held open by Manteekan, loosely organized into a point, with Balphomet at the head. The slavering shadows seem eager for battle, barely able to contain themselves into loose ranks. At the Nightmare's urging, the host takes to the sky, surging towards Marutok. As Kalikai and Godith wage their fight, the Crimson Goddess works to keep the Soulless' bulk from enveloping Her. However, some of His essence sprays Her, causing Her to jerk away for a moment before returning to attack Them. The sun reaches the zenith of the firmament, pausing in his quest to allow the land to bask in his shining golden rays. Shaking off the timewarp and choking shadows, Panaxra turns about in time to see Her brethren being attacked. The air fills with a sense of confusion and rising panic before She howls in the raged voice of a thousand nightmares and begins flying towards Avechna's Peak. Yuli leans on Eluisa seeking consolation. The Silent Lord breaks away from Zvoltz, the empty tones of His whisper betraying a hint of annoyance, "Tsk... First, You have let Her escape. Do hold on more firmly next time." With that, Nocht ascends, becoming a patch of darkness against the skies as He rushes off in an attempt to beat the fleeing Soulless to Avechnas Peak. Maylea passes by Manteekan and murmurs, "Don't be so pleased with Your army. We have not forgotten what atrocities You have visited upon the fae in the name of combat. It's not worth it, not even now." She punctuates Her words with an arrow that flies narrowly past the Nightmare to land squarely upon the Soulless Marutok only to burst once more into brown flames. Manteekan lingers over the Basin of Life, responding nonplussed by arrows nor the Bloom's accusations, "You dare to take the high ground with Me after what You have done? You would put down anything that does not conform, heedless of that thing's right to merely exist. Yes, I know what You told Him out there. You could not comprehend half of the things I have accomplished. Now, excuse Me, please allow Me to do My stuff." You crease your brow in a frown. You say, "Is the fourth Soulless yet sowing discord?" As the battle rages, Balphomet the Regiment's General takes charge of Manteekan's bogies, guiding them in a battle they had not waged in millennia. Bogies perish in droves as they assault the corrupted form of the Virulence of Godith, piercing the body of the vast Soulless in the process. Fair Galaphyrae says, "The Elders are scarce to be trusted in general." Changing tactics, Kalikai hurls her double-bladed axe of crimson flames into a pocket in the air around Her before pulling two gigantic broadswords from the same pocket. Quickly wielding both, She hurls Herself over the top of Godith before stabbing both deep into Their back, barely avoiding a spray of ooze and essence. The smell of wildflowers wafts past your nose. Ethereal violet suffuses the firmament as the lilting, smoky voice of Drocilla, the Enchantress croons, "She must not reach the Seal! Stop Her already!" Colors drain out from around the Architect as He begins to form many small orbs of energy in His open hands. As each orb is formed, it radiates out from Him before coming to rest at a certain point in the air, suspended and quivering. As Panaxra approaches Him and His cloud of orbs, the Architect makes a sudden gesture and each point in the air is instantaneously connected via lines of power with its neighbor, forming a glowing, crackling grid of energy. The Dreamshade flies right into and through this lattice, which does little to slow Her down but clings to Her, visibly warping Her edges and dulling the trailing sense of nightmarish horror. You have emoted: Xiran claps her hands over her mouth as the fae run headlong into the oozing Soulless. The light-wreathed form of the Majesty of the Dawn pursues Marutok. Unrelentingly, Valtreth skewers the Revenant with the Dawnspear. For each grievous wound, the Soulless seems to grow hale in a matter of moments. Yuli whispers something under her breath. Ethereal violet suffuses the firmament as the lilting, smoky voice of Drocilla, the Enchantress croons, "Valtreth, Your thirst for revenge here is a folly. The Nightmare and I shall claim Marutok!" Skeins of light curl outward and dance within the sky as the robust voice of Valtreth, Majesty of the Dawn booms, "I trust You not with the Soulless, Enchantress!" You think to yourself: And He calls them His children? Why would any mortal follow Him? Radiant starlight is called down in vicious beams to block Panaxras path as the Navigator attempts to stop Her from reaching Mount Avechna. He is successful in striking Her repeatedly, nonetheless Her nightmarish form surges forward in a last-ditch effort to hasten Her goal. Continuing the hunt for his dark mate, Father Sun presses forward in his journey, lowering himself in the sky yet still casting even, full light upon the land. Forest alongside Moon River. The area is bathed with silver light as a robust defensive aura suffuses the air due to a shield shrine of Lisaera nearby. A fresh breeze is blowing through the area. Thick hedgerows surround this part of the forest, leaving only a discrete trail that runs parallel to the river beyond. Short and squat, a peach tree grows here with its branches laden in magenta-and-white blossoms. Resplendent light rays reflecting and refracting from thousands of brilliant facets, a delicate gem golem glimmers here. Pilgrim amongst the Cairns, Eluisa Starfall is here. She wields a luminous hammer of Mother Moon in her left hand and a dazzling petal shield in her right hand. Yuli is here, leaning on Eluisa. She wields a resin-stained saffron and black viola in her left hand. You see exits leading northeast and southwest. You sprinkle a circle of salt around Eluisa, and a shimmering white orb springs up around her. With a mind-shattering roar, the Virulence hurls Themself atop Kalikai and flails at Her with spiked tentacles, ripping at Her armor and dissolving it with His ooze. You shudder violently as a chill ripples down your spine. Kalikai flings herself away and catches Her breath, flipping Her hair back defiantly. Fair Galaphyrae says, "Perhaps someone should have invoked the Avenger." The Dreamshade arrives at Avechna's Peak and hastens to the entrance of the Cave of Beauty, weakened but not close to defeated. She chortles in satisfaction and makes a ripping motion with Her hand, bringing out the Seal to float in front of Her. With surprising tenderness, She strokes the Seal, trailing tendrils quivering with anticipation. In the blink of an eye, She thrusts Her arm elbow-deep into the rose gold disc. Reality shudders and time stands still for a moment. Then a silent detonation booms throughout the First World, and the howling of untold nightmares begins to fill the air. You wince in pain. Voice streaked with a multitonal chorus of nightmarish howls, Panaxra, the Dreamshade announces, "Yes! The power of the Seal of Dreams is Mine!" The howling of lost souls sweeps across the firmament, heralding the stern voice of Shango, who booms, "Truly as stupid as every other Souless. Victory at the Seal means Kethuru eats You all." Voice streaked with a multitonal chorus of nightmarish howls, Panaxra, the Dreamshade announces, "I can use it! I will!" The Architect grimly flies towards the Peak, forming a protective sphere around Him to protect against the radiating excorperditio energy stemming from the draining Seal. Pausing a distance away, He makes grabbing then hurling motions in the air. Explosions of pure immanidivinus energy burst around Panaxra, but She is also protected by an unseen radius of dark energies. Twisting vines of magical energy suddenly manifest high above Avechna's Peak, centered upon the Silent Lord who has been hovering higher above the fray, murmuring a silent invocation that manifests eerie stars in the sky that tumble down to strike the Soulless - adding soundless explosions to the Architect's assault. Thin lines of fracture are all Their effort is rewarded with, however, before the vile barrier surrounding Panaxra reforms. Face twisted grotesquely with glee, Panaxra looks back at the floating Zvoltz and languidly flourishes a hand towards Him. Streaks of screaming darkness shoot out, lashing and clinging onto His protective sphere, pushing Him back farther and farther. Nocht scans the horizon quickly before retreating into the aether and out of Her reach. Panaxra watches smugly as the Elders are driven back, but fails to notice the air around the floating Seal begin to writhe. Fair Galaphyrae says, "What exactly does Avechna do, then?" Pilgrim amongst the Cairns, Eluisa Starfall says, "Perhaps only concerned with Kethuru? But if the Seal is in danger surely They should respond." An unending hunger fills the air as a voice booms out, "HELLO CHILD." Birds fill your ears with serenades of happiness and love. With a flourish, you draw an athame dagger from a silver and moonstone scabbard. Startled, Panaxra whirls back towards the Seal in time to see a mass of tentacles with teeth and eyes emerging from the Seal. The appendages grab hungrily at the Dreamshade, whose aura of nightmares flares in a dark miasma, the howls of the terrors communicating a terror of their own. Shadows grow longer in anticipation for the return of their dark mistress as Father Sun's chase brings him closer to the world's edge. Panaxra struggles as She tries to wrest Her arm from the Seal, blasting excorperditio energy at the rapacious tentacles. You see strips of Her aura getting sucked into the Seal as the air fills with a staggering sense of greed, of a hunger meeting its first crumb of food in an eternity - and wanting more. Soon, Panaxra's shrieks of terror and anger fill the air. You have emoted: Xiran tightens her grip on an athame dagger, expression grim. The Navigator summons a few miniature stars, bright blazing orbs of light. With a flick of His wrist, He arrays them around Godith's massive form in what appears to be a proto-constellation. When the last star comes to rest at its proper spot, all the stars flare in intensity, pinning Their body momentarily and burning Them with fiery energy. A hail of arrows from Maylea impales Godith, who struggles and squirms as snapdragons burst forth from the wounds and begin to constrict the Soullesss writhing appendages. She presses forward, each new puncture mark from Pathfinder creating inroads for the skull-shaped blossoms so that more than half of Godith is covered in petals that cannot be corroded away quickly enough. As the sun passes below the horizon's edge, Mother Night unveils her terrible, shadowy beauty, spreading darkness across the land. Stretching out Her arms and making a motion as if to embrace something, Maylea, Bloom of Serenity calls upon Her blossoms growing out of the Soulless Godith. Snapdragons sprout from the arrow wounds in fresh bouquets, weaving netlike around Godith until there is no room to escape, and the Soulless jiggles with rage, each movement rattling the thousands upon thousands of deadly blooms. Speeding closer to Kalikai, Maylea conjures a single orb of prismatic essence and hands it to the Crimson Eye. "This draws the bindings close. Seal the abomination away!" Kalikai pulls away from the Soulless, keeping an eye on Them as well as the scene far below. Catching the orb from Maylea, She flips the Bloom a quick salute before yelling to Darvellan. "Someone needs to help Me get this one back into the prison so we can deal with Her. Sparkles, you busy?" Accompanied by the smell of seawater, the voice of Darvellan, the Navigator rings out, "With Me! The Pyresmith and I have spoken of this Prison enough that I should be able to locate it." The Navigator slashes an arm in front of Him and opens a portal with darkness on the other side. He confidently steps through, followed by the Crimson Eye after She cinches the viney bindings of the Soulless. Though at first Godith's body appears to be too big to fit through the portal, it is quickly slurped through, akin to ooze being siphoned through a straw. With the last of Their corrosion disappearing into the portal, it is left hanging open, a swirling pathway into the Void itself. A cool, moist scent cloaks Galaphyrae, washing over you like an afternoon rainstorm. Bursting open, the clouds in the sky release a light pitter-patter of rain. A radiant aura of blue light glows forth from the Glinshari Circle, signalling that the Flame of Glinshari shines with great strength. The Majesty of the Dawn bellows in battlerage, and with a quick swipe of His hand over the Dawnspear, begins to infuse each of His strikes with blasts of Light. Even this, however, does nothing to stop the Revenant from reforming. The unearthly song crescendos as the floating Drocilla, the Enchantress reduces Marutok's form to nothing only for Him to reform amidst brown flames as if He had never been struck. Across the heavens, the stars and moon challenge night's dark reign, revealing familiar constellations that tell the tales of myth and legend. Ethereal violet suffuses the firmament as the lilting, smoky voice of Drocilla, the Enchantress croons, "Ah, delightful, I shall enjoy tearing You to pieces, Marutok, over and over and over again if this is what will happen each time." Screaming in rage, the Revenant sees His opportunity. Breaking free of the Elders surrounding Him, His regenerating body hurtles upwards, shoving Himself through the portal before it snaps shut. Gathering Her strength, Panaxra screams in rage as She pulls Her arm out of the Seal, trailing dark, sickly energy as if bleeding. The Seal of Beauty continues to writhe with tentacles for a moment longer before they recede back within it, leaving it bulging and quivering with Soulless energy attempting to escape. Manteekan breaks off the chase of Marutok, seeing that Panaxra is free from Kethuru's grasp. The ground rumbles as He summons the Eisenglass Needle from the floor of Glomdoring, which glows with an unworldly energy, as though it were a star unto itself. The obelisk hovers ominously around Him as He manipulates it. He channels a lance of immanidivinus energy from the core of the Needle. At the last moment, He hurls the lance of energy and strikes Panaxra with it. Your soft voice reaches out to Fair Galaphyrae, tickling her ear, "Blessed be." Battered, drained, and seeing two of Her own pursued away, Panaxra is diminished but still surrounded by swirling horrors. With a snarl, She sweeps an arm forward, swirling the eldritch coils around Her form faster and faster until they silently implode, whisking the Soulless away elsewhere. The resultant thread of energy which tether Her to the Needle leaves a clear trail into nothingness, like a harpoon line. Meanwhile, murky tendrils of energy are slowly siphoned in lazy spirals towards the Needle. It floats above the Glomdoring Forest, humming with ominous power. (Serenwilde): Galaphyrae says, "The soulless detritus is already about Mount Avechna." For the first time since the battle began, the air is still. Quiet. The waves of terror and corruption are mercifully gone. Yet faintly, on the winds, there continues to be the hint of terrified wails, the sign that Panaxra's influence is much lightened but not completely eliminated. (Serenwilde): You say, "Oh dear." The Sixth Circle Elder pursues the thread of energy, alighting in Tolborolla Valley. After watching these machinations, the Architect blinks over to join the Nightmare in a burst of silent lightning. With a dignified steeliness, the voice of the Architect resolves out of a thrumming white noise, "Here. I can sense Her warping of the Order of reality here. This must be a thin point in the fabric of reality where we can reach Her lair." You say, "Would you two desire to join the hunt? Not even the Aetherplex is guaranteed a safe spot." A pert little nose takes in a delicate whiff of Yuli's surroundings. Yuli sways back and forth. Eluisa sniffs the air while twitching a striped badger nose. Pilgrim amongst the Cairns, Eluisa Starfall says, "I've recovered enough." The Nightmare's voice echoes with the sound of crackling of feet upon snow, "My, my. A First who is capable of doing something on Their own? Colour me impressed, Zvoltz." You say, "I can take us there in two shakes, but we may be stepping straight into fighting." Eluisa nods her head emphatically. Pilgrim amongst the Cairns, Eluisa Starfall says, "I am ready and following." Wryly, the voice of the Architect resolves out of a thrumming white noise, "Ironic, is it not, to have the Nightmare chasing down a Soulless with a much greater command of nightmares?" You have emoted: Xiran turns to Yuli. After whispering devotions to the moon, you lower your hands and feel the power of the moon suffuse your very spirit. A hungry growl entering His tone, Manteekan snarls, "If You think the Needle is only capable of siphoning the Soulless, You are mistaken, Architect. Ask Hoaracle." Scattered light reflects in all directions from Pyawr's mirror talisman, accompanied by a subtly discordant jangle of tiny copper camel bells. Back to a dignified steeliness, the voice of the Architect resolves out of a thrumming white noise, "Enough - it is all of reality that is at stake here. Join your energies with Mine and We will create a way into the Dreamshade's realm." ---> run around looking for the crowd You hear a series of sickening crunches as a mass of tentacles grabs Yuli, hoists her into the air, and squeezes. Yuli takes some salve from a vial and rubs it on her left arm. Yuli sips a potion of healing from a glowing coral vial. A mass of tentacles sweeps across the room with a thick tentacle. You are taken off your feet. Yuli deftly manages to remain standing. You stand up and stretch your arms out wide. You lift yourself from your sprawled state. "Eek!" you shout in fright. Eluisa presses a button at the end of the handle and a hiss of steam announces the buildup of hydraulic pressure within a mechanical cane. A small quantity of sovereigns spills from the corpse. Eluisa's eyes glint as she reaches down and collects the gold. Eluisa suddenly scoops up the corpse of a mass of tentacles. The Architect grows still, surrounding colors bleaching even more into monochrome, His bright yellow eyes staring into the middle distance. The edges of His figure begin to blur and dance, juddering more and more wildly. He raises His hands, palms together, pointing Them forward. With the practised finesse of an Elder Who is no stranger with working with others, Manteekan sketches symbols into the air with rapid ease. He calls out, His unnatural eyes slitted, concentrated upon the point which now bears strange sigils and glowing energies. Yuli Re'Leo says, "Give?" Eluisa gives the corpse of a mass of tentacles to Yuli Re'Leo. Eluisa tilts her head curiously at Yuli. Yuli nods her head emphatically. You gag a bit as you inhale your own stink. A pert little nose takes in a delicate whiff of Yuli's surroundings. You say, "There will be tongues and gibbering eyeballs and more of those." You shudder violently as a chill ripples down your spine. ---> more running! The Nightmare nods His understanding, and in perfect sync, The two Elders focus Their attention upon a pinprick of light. The Architect strains visibly as He begins to pull His palms apart, the thrumming white noise about Him crescendoing into deafening static that drowns out all other noise. Several yards away where the Elders are looking, a tear in reality opens slowly. Straining, the voice of the Architect resolves out of the surrounding static, "Her realm... repels Me. Her world... operates with an entirely different order than Ours. Even Our combined strength is barely enough to form this pathway." Focusing upon Galaphyrae's spectral energy, you intertwine your spiritual aura with hers. The Nightmare's voice is feral and unrestrained, laboured by the effort of maintaining the portal. "With My body, I could handle this the way a freshly born Elder would awaken a flower, Architect. Unfortunately, mortals, I must admit that He is correct. We can only maintain this for so long. You must enter and defeat the Dreamshade. She will not remain pierced by the Needle forever." Eluisa mutters discontentedly. Yuli Re'Leo says, "Of course it's our job..."
