First Incantation of the Night Coven ( a litany to Mother Night in times of need) by Shayle

Merit for January 2006

Come Mother Night, your shadowed kiss, it calls
With breathless ecstasy to those who yearn
For something more than Light. We wish to spurn
Those blinding rays, break down those glittering walls.

Come Mother Night, come bathe us in your guise,
Your secrets twisted deep within the mind
Of every man, the lies he hides behind.
Reveal to us the path to their demise.

Come Mother Night, your coven stands in wait,
Hands joined, and cauldrons poised with murky ire.
Our liturgies for you, may they inspire
That merciless intent, that heartless state.

For you we serve with unrelenting pace.
Come Mother Night, surround us with your grace!
