There was nothing in your log indicating that you were following her, from what I could see.

EDIT: just read it again, yeesh, I'm dense, but that looks buggy. You are following her and she's following you at the same time?

As far as I know Xenthos is right.

The only stipulations for you to draft someone into your squad is:
a) That someone is not already in a squad.
That someone has you on their allies list. Therefore if you have that someone on your allies list it won't matter, has to be the other way around.

How about the "You are following Talan" line?

I did report the buggy part of it, but the main point of the log is that it is possible to draft someone who you are following. Ignore the bug! It is irrelevant. I just didn't want to edit the log (though I guess I could, you've already seen the proof... guess I will).

Guardians and wiccans use your nativity to give you afflictions, child. Some are born lucky. Some people (Catarin, Narsrim) are born unlucky.

Basically, you know how real-life astrologers create a starchart of where the heavenly bodies are at the time of your birth, and use that for fortunetelling? Nativity basically tells us where each of the Lusternian heavenly bodies are at the time of your character's birth. Nativity itself does nothing mechanics-wise to your character.

And then astrologers can afflict you based on your nativity, as well as where the stars are during that time.
