Why do custom emotes include your title? It's annoying.

Is there any (non credit) manse item that will boost your willpower regeneration? Or anything period that boosts your willpower regeneration (besides discipline?)
Lendren2010-04-25 02:44:54
Rocking chairs and campfires.
Edit: Rocking chairs are made by artisans. Campfires are made with the Hunting skill.

I think Xenthos said that sleeping on a bed also helps but don't quote me on that. (quote Xenthos)

Beds help for endurance, not willpower.
Unknown2010-04-25 03:04:41
There's always the minor justice domoth blessing too. Not that that's easy to obtain on an as needed basis.

Rocking chair is the furniture you're looking for for willpower. Sit on the chair and ROCK CHAIR.

Hmm I got confused. Anyways new question.
I want to explore aetherbubbles but am running into problems. How do you read the aetherspace map? It's nice and pretty but because it's not labelled I'm having a hard time finding out even where Glomdoring and the aetherplex chamber are.

Also do fissures appear in fixed locations?

Yes, Fissures to the other planes are fixed.
In game, you really just need to explore and remember where things are at. Flashpoints you have set will tell you the general direction of said points. The wiki has locations of bubbles that are relatively near exact. (I believe its set up so if you ignore walls, you should be able to go that many rooms in the said directions to get to the bubble.)
Rael2010-04-25 04:19:56
I don't have flashpoints.
I'm starting to get to the point in game where I can't do anything of the things that I want to without spending more lessons. I spent 1000+ yesterday and learned many new tricks but the skills I really want cost a lot.

Honestly, time and patience is the way to go here. Don't feel like you need to get everything Right Now because if you do you're not going to be happy with yourself (spending all that money for all those things right at once).
You're better off picking a place to focus on, work on earning some credits (hunt for gold, maybe enter some Bardic contests, along with other contests and the like), play with others and have some other things going on; and when you achieve each of your goals, you can actually enjoy it in full without the "now what?" feeling because you still have more to work on!

I'm not bored and I'm pretty patient. I bought 500 credits way back in January and didn't spend any lessons until yesterday. Actually it's just the opposite because I just don't have time to do all things I want to do. I want to get into Mudlet development, script/write a system on top of Mudlet, rewrite the Mudlet manual, get involved IG, read the forums or spend time IRL working/exercising/reading but I can only pick one or two. I might be hiding doing mostly nothing but I'm having fun or I wouldn't be here.
Also it's not like I can't get around without flashpoints or fancy artifacts. It's just a little more inconvenient.
Razenth2010-04-25 05:22:24
Knowing your way around takes experience. You could drop me anywhere in Prime space and I could probably find out where I am after a minute of flying, but I've been flying for years. The best way to figure out how to fly proper is to bring up the map, label all the question marks, and then visit each place in turn. If you have it, keep farhorizon up. Sure its slower, but it helps you get a feel of where you are.

As a general addendum, Psionics also contains Ironwill, which adds some extra will per regeneration tic as a secondary benefit (This also works for Aetherwill, incidentally.). I think the rocking chair makes tics come faster, but don't quote me on that since I've not tested it. Likewise, I'm not sure how the campfire or the willpower gem work.
Ssaliss2010-04-25 07:56:40
In my (very limited) testing, it makes the tics more powerful, not more frequent. I think it was about 25% more or so. This doesn't work on meditation tics though, only the standard regeneration.

Congratulations to the first ten players to complete the Earth Day challenge! These players received dingbats as well as a dingbat item--from first to tenth: Xenthos (200 dingies), Nydekion (100 dingies), Sidd (75 dingies), Krellan (50 dingies), Shuyin (25 dingies), Talan (25 dingies), Viynain (25 dingies), Ardmore (25 dingies), Inagin (25 dingies) and Doman (25 dingies). You can still receive the dingbat item by completing the challenge!

Question:
What are the 'locks' available in lusternia, and how can you cure out of each? What I have so far:
Crushlock:
crushed windpipe, slickness, something else- asthma?
Slitlock:
slit throat, slickness, something else- asthma?
amputate-lock:
double-amputated legs.

You can cure out of a double amputated leg situation, so it's not really a lock.
Double-arms on the other hand is a different story.
