Here's a tough one-- how much of a damage increase to knight attacks does transing combat give? And even tougher, how much of an accuracy increase?

None. None. Combat increases stance/parry effectiveness as far as I've seen.

Ixion is half right. Combat does not improve your accuracy (but neither does your overall skill in Knighthood). It increases your damage by one-third of the amount that transing knighthood does. How much that is is not a simple question, but might get a whole lot simpler once we can drop skills on the cheap!

Hm, I don't actually expect to get an answer about this, but if alts are so prevalent in Lusty, has there been a situation where one player has had 2 or more alts as GA/GM/GC at the same time?

In the same guild, you mean? I know of several situations where one person was in the leadership of at least three guilds, sometimes in the same commune and sometimes not (and sometimes both), dating back almost to the open beta. I can't think of one where anyone had alts in more than one leader position within the same guild, though, but if it happened what are the odds I'd know?

Yes. I can think of one immediately off the top of my head, but the alts were in different orgs.

I was thinking of different guilds, but wow, that's scary. So, even with the thousands of characters that are resting somewhere in memory storage, how many unique active players do you think actually play Lusty? 150? 200?

More than that. We have what's probably 150-200+ uniques per day most days, accounting for timezones.

Are clan referendums and elections always open to everyone in the clan, or can they be limited to a certain "rank", like in guild elections?

I would guess it has to be over 200, since we get over 100 logged in if you averaged it, and I would think most players aren't logged in too often.

The person I'm thinking of doesn't actually do things in those positions, just gets them for the bragging rights of having beaten other people to (or out of) them.

Rankings XP shows 1166 active characters at or above level 30.
