The Emerald Egg, I can't remember the Vernal for.

The Cursed/Sleeping Child, who now slumbers in the centre of the Land of Flesh and Blood (ie Muud) with a spell wrapped around her to bind Muud.

Dvarsha was raised from the Spire of Glomborolum.

Shanth from the Claws of Liberty, renamed later to the Claws of Shanth, on the Moors somewhere, I think.

The Emerald Egg, I can't remember the Vernal for.

Tzariziko was from either the Great Pyramid of Alin'Dor or the Crystal Spire of Lacenti.

We don't know what Klangratch's edifice was, but it was in the fortress of Grimkeep.

Much like Klangratch, we only know that Juliana was from the city of Climanti.

Kiakoda....I have no clue about. Was she from Serenwilde, Ackleberry, or something..? May have been one of the Trees that raised Her. Makes sense.

Vestera was from the Bubbling Cauldron in the Ghalphalshi swamps and created the art of Genderbending, which was later perfected by Nejii. Also Illusions and Dreamweaving, but those are less important.

Dionymus/Shaothane was raised by the White Shell in Alabellalum, Which is now part of the arena in New Celest, I believe.

Urlach is another whose Edifice and city of origins seem to be forgotten.

However, most of these Edifices were destroyed. In fact, aside from the Shell and the Claws, I don't remember any references to any of the edifices being around still. As I recall, though, each great forest held a Tree whose nut was recieved from the Tree of Trees by the first Druids. I want to say this was after the Vernal Wars were over, can someone verify that?

In either case, that means that the only three 'active' edifices are the Claws, the Shell, and the Egg that I'm aware of. Add in the four City nexii and the four trees for a total of 11. There's also the Soulforge in Duum, but I don't think that counts. I THINK the understanding is that each Obelisk in the villages could become a Nexus if the people of the village ever grew populous enough to warrant it.

These listed are all Edifices of Power. Albellalum was outside of the Basin of Life. For whatever reason, Celest's Arena is designed after what some perceived the ruins of Glomborolum (sp?) to look like. It is not a lost city, or part of one.

The Three Great Trees in the Basin of Life were planted by Ellindel and Glinshari. Aftermath of the Divine Wars addresses this.

Edifices of Power and Nexuses are different - what those differences are, I leave to our scholarly mortals to debate!

Gods can pass between the planes easily, with or without a nexus. If Vernal Gods had contact with the higher planes (Vernal Wars history suggests they did), it was not through an Edifice of Power - or at least, not through Dionamus'. The White Shell and the City of Alabellalum did not live long after Dionamus was raised. Read the Diary of Tamthys if you don't know why!

The Edifices of Power just stored power - much like giant powerstones, as someone above said. Nexuses stored power and pierced through the Planes.

How to get the Diary of Tamthys to read, either IG or OOCly? Something about the crystal doves/Kelpie Maiden?

What is the generally accepted stature of Faelings? It's never explicitly stated anywhere.

If I equate Lusternia's human size stat of 12 to average RL human height, I end up with Faelings (base size 4) being around two feet in height (slightly shorter for females), subject to any Shadowfae changes.

Is that about right?
Lendren2010-03-31 14:49:37
That's the generally accepted scale, 6" per point of size. Of course, with titans and up always being some arbitrary size with no way to tell by looking at them (!), it gets harder to take size that seriously.

True, but smaller sizes are a bit harder on the imagination... there's a big difference between Tinkerbell-sized and Bilbo-sized, not quite so much between giant-sized and titan-sized, I would think ("really big" gives the proper mental image either way).
Caffrey2010-03-31 15:17:25
can you have two beasts (pets) at once follow you and have the bodyguard ability stack?
Shamarah2010-03-31 15:34:57
You can only have one beast out at a time.

Depends on if you want to complete the quest or not. If you would like advice on the quest you can pay your local Cantors guild 50 million gold to support their guildhall construction or if you would just like to read the book you can pay a minimal fee of 25 million gold since we has it in our guild library.... Or just ask very nicely...

I am asking you nicely. Can you let me read your book, please? dazed.gif

Don't grovel to Jayden. It's one of the easiest quests in the game.

Kelpie Maiden, north-northeast part of the Inner Sea. It actually has two entrances. One moves (enter kelpie), one does not (in).

The quest consists of gathering a pedestal (sorta) and five doves. Progress on the quest is never lost, so when you're with Yadothune, look at the pedestal (if there is one) to see if parts have been done. The only hard part of the quest is figuring out which parts the people before you have already done.

Is there a way to log into the Lusternian site? I need to submit an artisanal, and despite logging in, it doesn't show me as actually logged in.

Size is a little wonky if you're trying to just go for height, too. Trill have a size of 10, but they are taller than humans! I mean, Fraesic Sunfar, a trill denizen in Hallifax, " at least eight feet in height". So yeah, I don't think it means just height. I think it means, like, other stuff too but oh gosh it's so confusing
