It's very dark. You might be eaten by a grue.

Watch out, or you might get lost in a maze of twisty passages, all alike.

I can...summon mushroom circles outside before entering it!

A hollow voice says, "Cretin."
Unknown2010-02-23 13:39:50

Sorry, i couldn't not join in.

It is a known fact that only schizophrenics talk to grues.

Splendor robes, they allow 4 proofings. Question being, if I get a coat and cloak then proof them as well. Do the proofings stack or am I wasting potion?
Unknown2010-02-23 18:53:05
It doesn't stack.
Sylphas2010-02-23 21:07:57
I think the best part of splendors is you don't have to look like an idiot wearing a cloak and coat on top of robes.

So I am not the only one to think that? smile.gif

I still feel very squishy in splendors, I don't know how people get by with just greatrobes (just talking about pve here).

Hear hear. Bad enough that out of all the lovely kinds of clothing, there's only one anyone can really wear. You know how hard it was to sneak a sari through as a set of robes in the first place? It was even harder to sneak one through as a set of robes and a coat and a cloak.

(Well, a sari really is a coat layer on top of the choli/pavadi "robes" layer, so it's not that bad, though the cloak's a reach.)

I always thought it would be cool if tailors could just "reinforce" any type of cloth to be greatrobe/splendor equivalent. So if you want to run around in shorts and no shirt you could.

I don't think it would change anything at all from a gameplay perspective but it would really open up RP choices for those who care about them.

Wow, MC Frontalot. I have heard any of his stuff since I listened to Freematrix Radio.

Sounds like he's singing about stock circle. I recognize one of the references to The Great Eastern Desert. Oh yes, I have been eaten by a grue....

I still don't see why robes can't just be proofed with all of them anyway. Splendors provide extra protection and double effectiveness of proofs; everyone already has access to all four, so why force the silly clothes stacking?

Because not everyone has robes. Coats and cloaks are the only proofings warriors get. So if I have to look weird, YOU have to look weird.

A coat and a cloak together aren't as bad, but yeah, I did forget about warriors.

I am commando under my armor. Why would I want to wear stuff over it?

Tabards and capes can be proofed too! Though, tabards can't be worn with coats/cloaks/capes, so you can only get one proof if you take a tabard.
