Sheer numbers. A few people went to just collect corpses towards the end and they each got over 1200.
They tend to drop 200ish gold each when they do drop gold. Sometimes more.

You get ten ambients, so that's five day and five night (or six day and four night, or whatever). Given how limited this is, I'd say 200cr is a fair price, 300cr is what they can gouge us for, and 500cr is ridiculous. For 500cr we should be able to have at least ten ambients in play at a single time, and even that's a reach.

Pretty sure the price is based off auction value, much like many other auction arties that become normal arties.
I think the only manse trade artie that ever gets purchased often is the forge, and even that is probably much rarer now that you don't need to station yourself at one for RL days on end to get any kind of weapon or armour of acceptable quality.

Still seems like Lusternia could make a lot more revenue if they re-evaluated some of those prices. Players always think everything should be cheaper, sure, but in this case I think it holds water as a business decision. If they're not selling, lower the price: that's very basic.

They generally like coming up with ways to upgrade arties so they are worth their originally priced value should the value come into question, rather than cutting it and having complaints from people who already paid and aren't refunded the difference. I'm pretty sure this was a big part of the deliberation over the drop in weapon rune prices that occurred a year or two back.
So... you might want to come up with more ways to reach the 500cr value.

Well, I already suggested, cranking it up to where you have 10 ambients available at any given time, as originallly advertised, would be nice. Either by increasing the total number, or just by letting each of the ten slots have both a night and a day form.

No, gluttony doesn't make you eat everything you have at once, it only ticks every few seconds. They'd still have time to insomnia/cure/etc.

I don't think I ever saw less than 450 gold for one. And I saw up to more than 800 gold.

It was the sheer numbers, and the fact that Sealbearers (including those from previous years) instantly kill all kethurumobs in a room just by walking in. Run around Astral for the four hours, frequently hitting 3-4 mobs a room, and it builds up quick.

When in doubt: kill stuff. Naturally, you will need to do something with the corpses. Consider where the other pieces are and where they are supposed to go, perhaps?
