Well, from what I've seen/been told, Serenwilde is somewhat like Aet's Duiran. And if that's the case, that's the one place I'd like to avoid. When I said Lusternian-newbie friendly, I guess I meant more, uh. 'Which orgs will be most beneficial to actually learning the game's lore and getting into the game?' or something.

Edit: Wow, this was @ Pectus. Ninja'd like, 5 times in between.

Well.. I really, really do adore Celest for Lore, and friendliness. Why don't you give them a try, and if you don't like it, you can try another?

Take it from someone who has the most alts and plays everywhere:
Serenwilde is full of snuggly people, but it's also very friendly for novices. It's not all that much like Duiran.

Glomdoring is more of a dark forest. Friendly for novices, but don't act a fool. They don't mind tossing your corpse into a ditch if you act like an idiot. RP is a major plus here, as is intelligence and resourcefulness.

Celest is in rough times, but it tries to help novices. If you think you want to play some sort of holier than thou character, this is the place (even though you can technically play that anywhere in Lusternia). Some snuggly people, but I'm trying to stamp those out. >.> Not as much RP as I'd like.

Magnagora doesn't pay quite as much attention to novices as I'd like, but they work hard, and reward you for working hard. Very powerful skills. Mag and Glom have a few groups of insular people who are in charge. If you get in good with them, you're on the fast track to success. If not, you'll fade into the background.

The other two cities are sort of young so I won't get into detail. Needless to say, you could shape the direction of both cities if you tried.

EDIT: Above all, don't join a place and expect them to keep you entertained. Try to find ways to help your home, and once they see you're putting effort into helping out, they'll let you into the cool kids groups.

I'm not trying to scare the kid away. Those squirrels are maneaters.

If you apply for guide, and are selected, how long does it normally take the guide admin (Moiraen?) to get around to telling you?

About 10s after you / they are online at the same time, I think.

The selection time itself may vary.
Doman2010-02-18 03:55:14
Yeah, it varies a lot tongue.gif

doopa doo imagine I'm trolling all the orgs in this post (too sleepy to hate).

By the by, for every snuggler in Serenwilde, you'll find an equal number of people wishing it weren't against the law to beat the ever-living snot out of the snuggler. Believe me, if someone is bothering you by being obnoxious and ridiculous, we'd like little more than to smack the person and get them to stop acting like a moron.

This.

My character is fresh out of novicehood in the Hartstone and he's already made enemies with a couple of snugglers.

Edit: Also, a question: are Elfen naturally without facial hair, or does everyone just enjoy being an effeminate hard-ass?

If you pay me, I could kill them for you.

So why don't you do it?

If I had to choose, Contort.

Next time I have idiots starting trouble at the nexus I'm going to steal their weapons until they behave like adults.

Aerotan2010-02-18 07:44:49
What if it's a moony?
Kante2010-02-18 08:05:35
A couple of questions:

Can Elfen grow beards?
Is the trans bookbinding item actually any good, and if so, would it work well with Druid or Nihilist?

And to address Everiine: you'll like some of the ideas I have for upcoming rituals, lectures, and sermons. dry.gif
