This. I've put in like 5 this week, they're all classified.

Now that the admins are opening up for all sorts of applications, is there a snowball chance in hell that they'll bother to respond to applications? pray.gif

Are Kephera banned from both Magnagora and Glomdoring?
Xiel2010-02-17 21:49:14
Not so much from Glomdoring, no. You just have to arpee it out.
Unknown2010-02-17 21:50:24
Aha, that's good to hear. Thanks!
Kiradawea2010-02-17 23:53:31
You make it sound like there's something else fun to do now.

With the forging changes (from way back...), what makes respectable masterplate?

Are the Knowledge/War blessings mutually exclusive? As in, does War cover physical damage and Knowledge magic? Or, does War cover all types of damage and the Intelligence boost from Knowledge boosts magical attacks even more. Also, are these benefits actually substantial for hunting? I can't seem to tell any difference, but I lack the knowledge to test these things properly.

I believe it depends on your Intelligence which helps you more. I forget the numbers, though.
Esano2010-02-18 01:36:21
War increases all damage. Knowledge increases intelligence (a +2 buff), which in turn increases magic-source damage. They can both be in effect at once.

The degree of difference you'll notice from Knowledge varies depending upon your own stat levels. And of course, being a +2 buff, you'll normally only get a +1 to your actual stat.

Can the Aquamancers unenemy me to the Waterlords? Or is there something I have to parley/influence?
Xiel2010-02-18 02:14:12
Aquas control status to the Water Lords. Same applies to all other org-tied planes to their respective guilds.

So, I'm going to get a lot of mixed, opinionated responses, but:

Where's the fun/RP at in Lusternia? Which guild/city tends to have the most players and the most (somewhat respectable) RP? And what ones are the most Lusternian-newbie friendly in terms of getting into the game's lore, etc, etc?

Just considering finally getting into the game for real this time (tried it a few other times, coming from Aetolia), and trying to find somewhere that will make me want to stick around.

Well. Most of the wiccan guilds have a lot of RP things, like rituals and such. And the bard ones are normally the..goofier ones. The most newbie-friendly place I'd have to say is Serenwilder, since most people there will cling to you and go, "AWW! it's so cute! *help help help*" Dunno how helpful that was, but there you go!
Doman2010-02-18 03:02:08
Well (and I am honestly trying to be unbiased) unless you want to smoke lots of weed, avoid Gaudiguch. That is not to say they don't have RP, they just can seem immature if you don't know their history.

Celest is the "Good guys" and recently had a bit of a harrowing, but it's a good place

Glom is a darker forest commune, but is kicking all sorts of ass

Mag is the tainted, eeevil city, and they're also pretty cool, I've seen some amazing newbie RP there

Halli is the crystally flying city. Art and science, think, Soviet borg

and finally, Serenwilde. Lighter forest, Some fun guilds, and great people. Great with the nubs

It all really depends on your "style" and tastes.

One of my favourites is Magnagora, but the atmosphere can seem a bit harsh at times (not nearly as much as it used to be) which may be a turn-off to some (but I love it. Especially Ruiku's RP).

If you prefer playing a crusader against evil kind of character, you may want to look into Celest or Serenwilde.
Everiine2010-02-18 03:03:12
The fun/RP is in Glomdoring/Magnagora/New Celest/Serenwilde. This is such a subjective question that depending on what you are looking for you'll find it in every org.

Most players I would say is Glomdoring right now. But, the population shifts dramatically depending on who is on top. In a few months or so, chances are high that another place will have the majority of players.

As for newbie-friendly, can't really help there. You can have a really good experience in a one guild one day and then a horrible one the next day.
Unknown2010-02-18 03:03:41
Well, from what I've seen/been told, Serenwilde is somewhat like Aet's Duiran. And if that's the case, that's the one place I'd like to avoid. When I said Lusternian-newbie friendly, I guess I meant more, uh. 'Which orgs will be most beneficial to actually learning the game's lore and getting into the game?' or something.

Edit: Wow, this was @ Pectus. Ninja'd like, 5 times in between.
Doman2010-02-18 03:04:44
Well, for the lore, New Celest and Magnagora are the big players.
