What's the main kill method for Hartstone?

Obviously, you'd go for saplock, but what's after that? Damage kill?

Most people die from damage, eventually, so yeah. You could use Thornlash and rip them apart, I suppose.

Not in coordination with sap, sadly. Though I can definitely see why that decision was made.

The only reason I ask is because with BT, I relied on a mana kill.

For a Hartstone, it's sap + damage kill via cudgel/vines bleeding. Technically they also have Thornrend, DeathProphesy or EternalSleep... but those are jokes. There's gore, but that's basically a damage kill too.
Kante2010-02-16 13:27:52
Thornrend is technically viable if you have proper coordination (i.e. enough druids and some triggers).

DeathProphesy and EternalSleep, however...Ha. Hahahaha.

Azoth has a point (I can't believe I'm saying that) in that it might have been nice for the Staff to have been something that was mentioned in the histories so we know what it is and where it comes from and why it's involved. But there's certainly time for that to be established in Lusternia's equivalent of "flashbacks", the Elder Wars saga.
Kante2010-02-16 13:31:25
Here's something I've been wondering for awhile:

Why does everyone hate Azoth?

Ugggh I might as well beat Shaddus and Xavius to the punch. Because I troll the forums constantly, complain about everything, and recently embarked on an extensive novice killing spree. But I'm a real nice guy, I swear.

Everyone here trolls the forums constantly and complains about everything.

The only difference is the n00b slaughter, and I mean, Jozen had that market cornered for awhile, so it's nothing new.
Unknown2010-02-16 13:49:57
Yeah, they'll get over it.
Esano2010-02-16 14:06:19
The bleeding from cudgel works well with sap as you can't clotspam. Of course, you need to have a decent saplock before you can spend the time on cudgelling. However, demesne effects do do a small bit of damage/bleeding as well ... probably about enough to counter regen!

Psymet monks can be excruciatingly difficult or downright impossible to bleed out, especially if they've also got harmony. Not a problem for Blacktalon, with their mana kill, but I can't imagine a worse opponent to try and kill as a Hartstone (luckily druid demesne makes building momentum a nightmare).

Disruption scroll.

EDIT: Worst opponent is somebody who actually has good curing in sap. It's really difficult to keep up with the person curing and build bleeding if they're actually doing something every .5 seconds.

This.

People like Vathael have great sap curing. Incredibly difficult to pin him down.

Does anyone have the list of crone afflictions? I've been meaning to test but haven't had a chance yet.

Didn't she used to give stupidity and not blind, or am I imagining that? Been years...

I just remembered the REPORT command read through envoys, looks like blindness was envoyed in at some point to replace a couple fears.
