When can I change that title thing here in the forums? (the one that usually says Expert, Gifted, Master, etc.)
Unknown2010-02-05 10:52:11
700 posts. I think.
Ssaliss2010-02-05 11:10:54
Other answers are 500, 501 and 1000. I'm leaning towards 501 myself. Go into your profile (click your name far top left) and see if you can do it there.
Esano2010-02-05 11:23:41
It's 501.

Anyone have any idea why at times crow totem users, while sitting in their nest, will CONSTANTLY chew on their carrion, even though health, mana, ego and will are max? I bugged this once and got the generic "this is not a bug" message but no one could ever explain why it's not bug. I cannot see that it serves any purpose whatsoever besides being spammy and annoying.
I don't have any abilities or defences up which would be draining mana either.

Maybe you're just hungry.

It's probably an ambient thing. Back in the day if you stood next to your totem you would get the hypercure message every 10 seconds. This is a legacy thing from druid groves in Achaea when hypercure was activated. On totems it was always activated. The Crow's nest probably does the same thing with just a "crow-esque" message for flavour.

That would be incorrect. Under normal conditions, you stop eating when you're topped off.

I'm pretty sure you do, because when I turn off surge I stop eating (after 3 more nibbles to get to 25% over max).
However, given that it's an 8p defense, turning it off is rather annoying.

I noticed that happening to me as well, though it would usually stop after 4-5 pointless chews.
Iktomi2010-02-05 22:43:48
I've had it go on for as long as 15 minutes before, completely defenceless after just logging in. It's not predictable in any way, whether when it comes on or goes off. I was talking with someone else while it was happening to me and it was doing the same to her too. About 10 seconds after mine finally stopped, hers did too.
Iktomi2010-02-06 00:11:43
I issued it again and got this:
#5 Oneiroi: 02/06 00:10 "Greetings, Iktomi. You can petition for a change to carrion via the envoys or through the IDEA command if you wish. However, if the coders have declared it to be working as intended, that is most likely the case. Thank you!"
I still have no idea what that intended purpose is. NOTHING is draining, EVERYTHING is maxed, and I continue to chew.

Maybe it refills your hunger slightly.
Iktomi2010-02-06 00:53:31
Level 83, don't get hungry
Oh well. It's not a big deal, just really annoying.

Unknown2010-02-06 00:57:20
Is it some ability? Or are you just returning to your nest and sitting there? It kinda sounds like Hibernate.
Iktomi2010-02-06 00:59:45
Just sitting there. While in the nest it refills yours health and mana, and fills them slightly beyond capacity, with the message:
You casually chew upon the carrion in your nest, letting the ripe flesh replenish your inner reserves.
Just occasionally it wonks out and keeps repeatedly doing it, even though there's nothing to replenish and you're already maxed.

I've heard both.

I've heard both.
The current facts of aetherwill power that I tested:
Manse willpower gems: Do not work
Chalice: do not work
Rocking chair: adds 4 willpower per tick (measured from demigod)
Changeling: replenishes to max
Still to test:
Refresh
ironwill
domoth effects?
