It definitely is affected, though I'm not sure how much....
Get a magic damage rune!

Esano2010-02-02 00:01:49
The Crimson Lady quest (supposedly) only works on undead, which is more why I would class it as mag-only. At least, that's what she said - I've never seen someone test it.

The Kelpie Maiden blessing is mana though. Dunno what happens for Cantors who get the dove though.
You get lore information, which is more precious than any mana blessing.
Kiradawea2010-02-02 00:16:47
Isn't that lore information already added to the library?

Correct. It works like crotamine on anyone else.

I -believe- the reverse is also true, for the Kelpie Maiden. And there's actually -two- blessings. A room-wide mana blessing for completing the quest, after which, if you collect the sea animals for Yadothune, he'll make the concoction he drinks to lift the sculpture base up - and you can then drink it, for a health blessing (or something bad if you're undead).

11.5.1 THE REALMS OF THE DOMOTH
The esoteric realms of the Nine Domoth contain great reservoirs of
divine energy. The only beings capable of surviving the realms are those
who hold some measure of divinity. Ascendants have the greatest affinity
to the Domoth Realms and can enter the realms with impunity. Demigods
may also enter the Domoth Realms; however, they will suffer a constant
and intense drain of essence. If a demigod's essence drains to zero,
they will lose their demigod level and slip back to titan.
THE NINE THRONES

The Domoth Realms are divided into nine spheres, each relating to a
different vibration of energy:

  - The Domotheos of Knowledge
  - The Domotheos of War

What happens when the ship of the dead is raised?
Esano2010-02-02 12:06:58
Not much, these days. It used to block Celest's power quest, but its main purpose now is that it's one half of the Sea Battle, which acts as the time restraint on city epic quests.
Magnagora ran into trouble with Marani earlier, which is why it was raised without someone getting Strong Arm. Gotta love twelve hour resets on quests.
