My somewhat simple question: if I started wanting to learn PvP combat, aside from learning guild skills and cures.(and the 'trans resil').., what would I need to learn first to survive in a fight for more than ten seconds?

I think focus mind, as much combat as you can get, magic the same, and tumble are all very helpful.

What time/day is the Knowledge thing in GMT? (I'd check mah self, but I'm hilariously incompetent.)

Knowledge is at 02:00 GMT.

All Europeans hereby have my sincere condolences.

When to stay and fight and when to run like hell.

Depending on who you're fighting sometimes you have to learn to run.

From what I've heard, getting into PvP is just a lot of practice. Back when I was trying to get more into it, I tried sparring people from different classes...then I realized that, realistically, I needed practice with people from different classes from OTHER orgs...and that's about as far as I got on my journey to become a great fighter.

Do we know what the symbols of any of the Nine were?
Unknown2010-01-30 02:14:58
Did they necessarily have symbols? I'm sure you could invent something appropriate.
Diamondais2010-01-30 02:26:16
Or look at the Seals! There are symbols on them.

It's coo' in my case, since it's the weekend and I have insomnia. I imagine Shiri'll also attend via a similar proviso. But my condolences to the normal Europeans out there.
Everiine2010-01-30 04:42:06
Shiribot isn't programmed to imitate the human behavior known as sleep.

Can you destroy pathways? (hunting/eco ability)

I want to say yes you can but I am not completely sure of that. The back of my brain is saying it remembers seeing somewhere that you can.

Aethercraft: as an empath how would I tell if a module had shock, murkle, or worble on it, so that I would know when to use GRID CLARITY? Is it in the output of GRID MODULES?
CODE
grid modules
"chair124767"             the command chair - 100% / light damage
"turret42054"             a battle turret - 100% / no damage
"turret164519"            a battle turret - 100% / no damage
"orb69840"                a shield orb - 100% / moderate damage
"ramhead82812"            a bulky ramhead - 100% / no damage
"grid18262"               the empathic grid - 100% / no damage
"collector6468"           an energy collector - 100% / no damage

Is it indicated where "light damage", etc. is? Or maybe after that? A log snippet would be appreciated!

Is it possible to delevel down and enter Newton after being kicked out?

Yes, I think I've heard of rare but true stories of that happening.

Damnit, now I'm tempted.

Each aff on that module is on a separate line after that module, like diagnose lines.

I've only ever heard of it happening to people who JUST get out of newtons and then go kick something they shouldn't have.
Eldanien2010-01-30 12:44:00
I want Eldanien to be a Hero to the Finks... err.gif

Back in the day, I figured the game was playing up to typical stereotypes and so I elected not to assist the Finks. Now, I'm wishing I'd done that quest. At 96th level, I'm even tempted to ask the admins to reset my level... but only if it let me back into Newton's.

You could just go help them at Mucklemarsh.
Eldanien2010-01-30 22:20:26
... you can get that honours in Mucklemarsh?

If so, I want to thank you from the bottom of my toes. And the Admins and coders who made it possible.

That's rankled me forever.
