That would be because your mudbot is configured for Achaea.
I think you can solve it by going to config.txt and then changing the host to lusternia.com

If there is reason to, yes.

Atellus2010-01-26 23:13:48
Speaking of connecting to the mud, I keep holding out hope that one day we can connect via SSH.
Not that I think anyone snooping on my connection would care about my login, but still.

Lame. You should just be always on, so that I can poke you when I'm bored.

Can't you just ping lusternia.com from the command prompt to get the IP address? Or is that what you mean by "they removed telnet"?
Also, if you ever forget....
The telnet address is lusternia.com, port 23 or port 2003, and numeric IP address is 64.127.116.166.

EDIT: Holy bajeezus that page is comprehensive. It should be required reading for anyone wishing to play this game.

Pinging is how I got the IP-address, yes

If you're using XP, try opening up a command prompt and type "telnet lusternia.com" and you'll see what I mean.

Telnet is basically the predecessor of zMUD etc. It connects to whatever you point it at, but unlike zMUD you won't have aliases, triggers or macros. It was never intented as a MUD-client, it's mostly intended as a way to connect to various servers.

Yes, I know what telnet is. I used to use it for e-mail (pain incarnate). But some noobs (like my brother) think that the command prompt == telnet.

If you want to get technical, lusternia.com isn't the IP (although it should work just as well). The IP is 64.127.116.166. I also think that you can use port 2003 (or if it was 2000), but I can't check it right away since MS so wisely decided to remove telnet from Vista...
It's not installed but you just need to tick a box to get telnet on a vista
control panel > programs and features > turn windows features on or off > tick telnet client > ok
and you now has telnet on vista

Fail question. Can cartels submit more than one Beauty Seal design if we have the slots open?

Pretty sure it's one design per cartel.
Shaddus2010-01-27 03:05:35
It's one design per cartel, as many cartels as you have or will submit it for you.
Kiradawea2010-01-27 16:45:41
If you have multiple designs that are essentially minor alterations to one design, such as a backpack in different colours, would those designs have to be submitted one by one, or can they be submitted as one design, with the alterations noted?
Xiel2010-01-27 16:53:13
Have to submit them one by one. Thus my billion and one fortune cookie designs.

Should you mention direction in the "dropped(placed?)" description for tapestries?
Even better, could someone give me (a (few)) sample(s) on earlier approved tapestry designs?

No, as a tapestry can be placed in any of the cardinal directions.
I can try later on, but right now I don't have access to my designs.

Hrm. Now I'm really curious how to do it, but I should be able to work with it.

This is not really a simple question. There's a lack of solid evidence about pre-taint Night that leaves open a number of questions for people to explore through their role-play in game. I doubt you'd get a definitive answer even if you pursued it through IC channels as this ambiguity seems intentional. My best conjecture, based solely on the fact that we've never heard anything to the contrary, and a few lines about fae generally being resistant to the effects of the taint would be that there was no change to the avatars' appearance.

Gleip2010-01-27 19:19:57
Hmm, so for Night, if I base the design of a Redcap, Barghest and Slaugh I should have it covered? I'll try that. Safer than trying to sneak in and get a good look at em.
I heard that Raziela was the strongest Supernal mechanically. Then why was she lower on consider than Methrenton, Shakiniel and Elohora?
