Is there a reason for the rather limited inbox size for messages here on the boards? Two people I have tried to send a message to have full inboxes =(

Well, on one message board I've been on, I once had 6000 messages. People like me is the answer.

I don't think he's asking why there's a limit at all, but rather why it's 50 messages. That's not very many.

I hate the PM system here, so my inbox is going to stay full. If people want to talk, there's a place for an e-mail link in a profile.

Well, I imagine the forum server only has so much memory for messages. Considering there's more than a few hundred forum accounts, that'd add up real fast if everyone pulled off having 50 messages.

It's just happened here or there - locking to a module, teleporting to a nexus, entering an aethermanse then leaving it. I was 100% sober.

I have never operated a message board but it seems to me that the data from all of our posts is far larger than the pm system. Thinking about it some more I suppose more people than Zarquan might be leaving their inbox full on purpose. So increasing the number of messages allowed would just work for a time.

I like the PM system because it allows me to receive an email when someone sends me a message so if I am away for a time I can still know if someone is trying to reach me without having to give out an actual email address.

No big deal really, I was just curious if there was some official reason for the inbox sizes.
