Two questions:

1: What all hamsters are there? I know of white, brown (rex), hairless, orange, and chaos. Are there any others?

2: What are the astrospheres associated with Gaudiguch/Hallifax (for wildnodes)?

1: Short haired (1), Long haired (2), Rex (3), Orange satin (5), Hairless (8), Purple Hamster of Chaos.

2: Gaudiguch have Sagitarrius and Hallifax have Gemini.

Ok, never been a mage before and I don't recall this from when I was a druid, but what does this mean?

That means you tried to change the terrain underwater. Doesn't work.

How do I know if my weapon is worth runing? Is it realistic to aim for a weapon score of 480 for master weapons and how much/long should I expect to pay to acquire such a weapon?

Is the affliction given by Stalker in Phantasms just a shorter-duration Phantom? Or is it different, and can they be stacked?

If you're runing a weapon, you cannot have the total of 480. It won't take very long for it, and expect to be charged comms. (at least by me)

From what I understand, it is just a short lived phantom that you can use over a distance in your meld. It doesn't stack with the regular Phantom.

Are runed weapons somehow inferior to good master weapons then? That doesn't seem to make much sense.

Not even close. Most people say that stats don't mean much more than speed, so the elemental runes make a bigger impact than the missing stats. And the bleeding runes. And the wounding runes. And the +15s basically bring you up to the limit.

Did you miss the stat rebalancing? Stats do matter now.

Is there somewhere I can see the previous winning designs for the Seal of Beauty challenge?

EtherWilde essence-dropping peacocks aside, do actual peacocks exist in the Basin?

Anyone have hard numbers on beastmastery's aggressive battle vs. minor breath?
Arte2010-01-10 18:12:47
It's not exactly a "hard number", but my Thunderbird's lightning breath against Doman, with level two racial resistance and nothing else, does between 100 and 200 damage. With a proofing, twirl staff, elementshield etc. I took 70-100.

Yes, I did actually. I've been pretty inactive for a while now.

Edit: That means my axe might be useful now. I wonder how it does now.

Can't remember exactly, but I concluded that minor breath > aggressive, especially when you take into account the 100vs140 trains cost.

That said, minor breath does take 500 mana.

So precision doesn't matter when bashing as a knight, but does the damage stat matter?

Last time I checked, it did. Not too much, but it was nice.

Here's a simple-minded, uh, err, simple question: Why do the sword swing/jab balance used messages not specify if the attack was with the right, or left hand for blademasters?

I mean, the prompt indicates which hand it is, the balance already in use message will till you which hand is off-balance and the balance regained message tells you which hand now has balance. Having the hand balance just used could be very useful information.

If this has been covered already then please let me know (preferably with a link, or two) and I'll just shut-up. doh.gif

I think you answered your own question. The prompt flags tell you which hand is off-balance. If you want to see the hand that's swinging/jabbing, I recommend using two different weapon designs. smile.gif

Has anyone tested illithoid's ability to get esteem through intimidation/paranoia influencing (i.e., to influence regularly) with their advantage vs. the low cha? I have a friend who is thinking about playing and making an illithoid and I want to be able to tell him as much as I can, and the forum search is not being very helpful here.
