No. You can easily outrun the speedwalker with adroitness/trotting. You can also pretty much outrun the speedwalker without those, because it takes balance and only has a range of 30-ish rooms.
50 rooms

If someone told you 50, they lied or there are things besides room count that will mess up range.

I can consistently get 40+, so maybe it just hates you.

How long does it take before a beast becomes an adult?

Does anyone here know the history of Newton Caverns? I lost the log of what the gnomes told me (and the log of the quest itself) when I did the quest.
Go to Mucklemarsh bubble and find the Captain Newton's log.
Basically those facehugger things got on the gnome ship, they crash land in Mucklemarsh, quarantine it, then try to escape and try to take the finks with them to safety, and end up crashing into what becomes Newton caverns.

1 year, plus the end of the month of its birthday.

To help whomever figure out what you refer to,they're "slivven," the metal eating lovelies that ate holes in the Divinity.

Can anyone point me to the scroll that explains everything about a Library Annex, please? I can only find those mentioning them in relation to library commands
Ssaliss2010-01-09 13:39:07
The only other mention I can find is in 16.1.1.1 THE DUTIES OF THE GREAT LIBRARIAN. From those two files, though, it seems that only Great Libraries can have annexes, and they basically work as "mini-libraries", allowing them to have various sections. For instance, they could have one annex dealing with scholarly works and one dealing with literary works, further separating them to various categories. If there's more to them, it's not mentioned in any help files.

Thanks. Although I thought it was something like that, I was hoping there was a scroll that mentioned what are the requirements for building one. Anyways, thanks a lot!

There is, actually:
Annexes to the Great Library can be bought for a fee as your library grows.
Contact your city or commune patron for prices.

So...I didn't know where to post this but...is there some kind of forums rank?
Shiri2010-01-09 18:53:07
Uh...I don't know for sure what you're talking about, but under your avatar there's an "inept" which will rise as you post more, up till like 500 where it defaults to transcendant and you can change it by going into your profile somewhere.
Unknown2010-01-09 18:55:54
I believe transcendent was raised to 1000 posts, at least. They changed it around when they realized how forum-obsessed were are.
Shiri2010-01-09 18:58:24
Hmm, maybe you're right. It's been a while...ha.
EDIT: Well, you're virtuoso and 640ish, so yeah you are right!

Xavius2010-01-09 19:00:48
But at 501 (which used to be transcendent), you are able to ignore the forum ranks and enter your own.
Unknown2010-01-09 19:02:42
Oooh, so you are.
