Completely missed that somehow... Thought I read through it. Thanks!

A feeling of pride and achievement fills you. You have gained a new honours!

Is that a new addition to what happens when you get a new honours?

Achievements for honours?

Vathael Valtyros, the Crimson Holocaust (Male Demigod).
The threads of Fate around this individual are tangled beyond comprehension, and you cannot discern anything of substance.

What's up with that?

It's a Scroll of Laurels auction artifact that lets you write a custom message to hide your honours. Nienla has one too. AUCTION INFO 14.

How much charisma do you need to have to not get an ego counter-attack done to you by an npc (assuming it still works that way)?
Gleip2010-01-07 13:54:16
I kept getting counter-attacks at 11 charisma, so more than that is needed.
Ssaliss2010-01-07 14:24:16
I have 16, and I never get them... Didn't even know it worked that way.
Veyrzhul2010-01-07 14:41:52
What's meant are those ego drains you get when not 'attacking' for a while. Yes, your charisma can be so low and eq-loss from an influence attack thus so long that you can't avoid those. biggrin.gif

You can buy custom emotes for a clan?

Was one of the auctions in the recent list.

I occasionally get them, and Aoife has 18 charisma once she gets on her throne. It's really more a matter of not attacking quickly enough.

(Seriously, if you have a manse or someone you trust has a manse, GET A THRONE. They're <3)

Oh, you mean those things I get when I lag for 2 seconds? Yeah, those are pesky. Kinda.

How much of a difference does a throne do?

+2 charisma, weighted... so, always adding 1 to your current charisma.

Does anyone here know the history of Newton Caverns? I lost the log of what the gnomes told me (and the log of the quest itself) when I did the quest.
Unknown2010-01-07 21:04:31
What quest tells you about the Newton Caverns? I've always been interested in the newb areas, having spent an ungodly amount of time there. Not recently, mind you, since gathering pilgrims/bards/scholars gets you to level 21 in roughly two hours.

I'm a loser who uses the in-game mapper and speedwalking instead of an IMap or an LMap, which is double sad because I actually coded an LMap that takes cows on the road etc. into account that a couple people use, and yet I don't use it myself because I'm lazy and lost my map file.

So, if you are mounted on a beast trained to trot, will the in-game speedwalking go faster?

No. You can easily outrun the speedwalker with adroitness/trotting. You can also pretty much outrun the speedwalker without those, because it takes balance and only has a range of 30-ish rooms.
