Do Organization cartels have any sort of information-holding system, such as clans have CLANHELP, for their members aside from newsposts?

What I'm looking for in particular is a way to make it known to every member of the cartel that some and which designs should only be sewn with the permission of a particular individual.

For what you're trying to do, I'd just add a comment with, "To be made only for x."

Alternatively, just try to keep those designs in a not-city cartel, where you can have those notes and only induct people you trust to follow them.

This. Don't use a public cartel like that and expect anything except to get contested and removed in disgrace.

Only for a Patron Goddess, I think.

Is there a way to protect against hexagram?

Yes, not being in the trees or flying or on the roofs.

They're all guild specific. I don't think any are available to Hartstone.

Cling in Monkey I guess.

I think reflections does it and you can train a beast to have the reflection spell, wouldn't be a good method, though.
Unknown2009-11-22 21:40:50
Cling, rooting and red. Also, I think twirl cudgel.

e: also, rock totem.
Jael2009-11-22 21:42:01
I thought druids could twirl cudgel or something to get a shield that mitigates it a little.
Xavius2009-11-22 21:48:28
Ah, yes, twirl cudgel is right. Haven't tested reflections. Rooting, red, cling, and rock are all incorrect.

EDIT: Cling is still good against geyser, though.

What does it cost a diety to bestow Divine favour? I always feel so guilty when I get a blessing that goes unused because I can't be on. confused.gif
Kelysa2009-11-22 21:56:31
Rancoura, lots of orders have their own cartels for that reason. Otherwise, yeah, it's more or less impossible to control on any meaningful level.
Unknown2009-11-22 21:59:46
Hm, so there's a difference between resistence to forced movement and resistance to forced elevation change...? I'm guessing raise cudgel is treated like hexagram in that sense? Or is everything that uses "X resists your summons!" considered forced movement?

They usually favour based on your offerings, and they spend less on the favour than you offered... so... don't feel guilty. They're still ahead.

That's silly. Should probably be changed. People can resist me pulling them into trees, but I can't resist them knocking me out? Lame.

It's not quite the same, since you can always get to them but they can't always get to you. I always felt like hexagram should be more limited than geyser, though, since hexagram hits whole rooms.

You have a tool, though!

CODE
8.2.1.2 THE HARTSTONE GUILD

Guildmaster: Aiyana (The Hierophant of Hartstone)
Guild Administrator: Selskia (The Keeper of the Sacred Grove)
Guild Champion: Trusler (The Heir of Glinshari)
Divine Patron: Charune, Lord of the Hunt
Guild Envoy: Aiyana (Voice of Hartstone)

That's right up an envoy's alley.
