EDIT: That's right, I can produce relevant lolcats in less than 30 seconds.

I'm impressed. You'll go far.

It's something in your system gagging it, possibly in an attempt to hide something like sparkle/stars/fireworks illusions. What system are you using?
Unknown2009-09-16 06:30:51
AG does that. TG toggles it off, if that is the correct system.

Does focus spirit only have a percentage chance of working? From my logs it appears it cured illumination one out of two tries and heretic zero out of two tries.

Which village has the best price (usually) for gems? The four Dwarven villages were at about 180 each (except Angkrag - 400? o.O). Is this good, or should I pilgrim all the villages?
Everiine2009-09-17 02:53:12
Might as well hit all of them if you can, it will only take 10-15 minutes.

If you turn in rockeaters to a village, they'll produce 1 gem comm per rockeater and drop the cost by some amount. Thus, go on a rockeater/deepstone rockeater killing spree, turn them all in, then buy a boatload of cheap gems. Costs go up when a commodity reaches low levels (<10?). Use this knowledge, go pricefix, get cheap comms.

This is not actually how it works. I wish I had enough information to tell you exactly how it does, but I know enough to know that, as much sense as this makes, this is not correct. Prices can go up even as you're increasing stock to 150. You can buy down to 140, drop the 5-20 comm producers that you need to remake the 10, and the prices will still go up. Prices tend to not go up immediately after being bought out. This is all ridiculously counter-intuitive, so there's probably a factor (maybe time and rate of sales vs. rate of production) that impacts prices a whole lot more than quantity in stock.

Sadly, yes. You blow a full quarter of your mana on a very high level ability, and you still fail about half the time. It sucks, but at least it doesn't cost power, like most of the things it cures.

I dunno, what I described is a pretty decent approximation. Giving more comms turns the change in price towards the negative, buying comms turns it towards the positive. Prices only update when the stock changes. Give enough, crash the price.

Actually, this is not how it works. It's not completely counter-intuitive.

What will happen is that prices will go down as you turn in commodities, no matter how many the store has. The more turned in, the lower the price. When you buy them, the price doesn't change... but, if you turn in more commodities after that, you are forcing a price-change. When the price-change hits, it adjusts to the 'real' price for however many commodities the shop has at that time. Otherwise, it will adjust when the number changes naturally, as normal.

The 'issue' is that the purchase itself doesn't force a price-change, which is nice because you can only buy 50 of a commodity at a time (and if buying 50 made the price go up, it would be that much harder to get decently-priced comms).

Few questions about shrines...
- What is the maximum amount of rooms they can take up?
- How do you use Shrinesense and Shrinesight?

Thanks

check ORDER PRIVS for if you can use sight/sense. One tells you where and how big all shrine influences are and the other tells you everyone in shrine AoE and where. ORDER PRIVS has the details.

Well... I presume it moves the power from your reserves to your prompt.

Nope, it just adds up to 10p to your prompt.
