Lich at nighttime gives +2 buff, at daytime gives -1, to both strength and int. Archlich always gets the +2.
I thought archlich was +2 at night and +0 at day.
Ardmore2009-09-02 16:22:56
Nope, it's -1 at day.
Ronny2009-09-02 16:30:46
No, Archlich means no day penalty. Liches get day penalties.

Please do not contradict Esano and Ardmore with facts. It is mean.

Ardmore2009-09-02 16:35:29
I didn't see him say archlich! I thought he meant just lich!

It definitely said archlich.

Aww.

Ronny2009-09-02 16:42:35
As far as I can tell, Esano is right. +2 str and +2 int all the time for Archliches. For liches, it's the same at night with penalty during the day.

Wouldn't that be a bug, then? I'm pretty sure it was intended to be nothing during the day (instead of a penalty, as per your first answer).
If you're finding it is not working that way, bug it quick. Because that is a pretty big issue!

When influencing fae to take back to the aspects does it matter which type of influence you do on them or you just have to win the influencing battle with them?
Aerotan2009-09-02 17:31:02
Serens need a moonflower from Albion, and have to win an empowering battle. Gloms need a scarab from Lhiannan, and must win a weakening battle.
Aslo, the only fae that can be gathered are those a wiccan can summon. The unicorn, Knights, Sweetpeases, Learoc, Maeve, and the little fae girl cannot be led to the aspects.

Influence type matters, but it also requires an item. Albion/Lhiannan/Raziela/Nifilhema give the items out and explain the influence type required.

Nope, it's in the AB:
Necromancers who have gained knowledge of Lichdom are known as
archliches. An archlich is immune to the detriments of daylight,
maintaining full benefit in the light as well as the dark,

Well damn. That's a weighted +2, right?

Ah, I see where the issue is. "No penalty" means, to some people, "You don't get the -1 at day." To other people, it means, "Always have a bonus". Having gone digging through some old forum posts when it was introduced to figure out where the disconnect is...
However, this makes me wonder what exactly was going on when it was decided to make it a permanent +2 str/+2 int. That means that something which was meant to be a "minor boost" over the original Lich is now giving +6 weighted stat points over its old version during the day (instead of -1/-1, it is giving +2/+2). By "no penalty," it really should mean "there is no penalty-- that is, during the day you get -0/+0."
Hrm.
