I thought Illithoid were immune to begging. I must have my weaknesses mixed up.

They are, they're greedy. I weaken them.

Yeah, that's more of what I was hinting at. In addition, kephera monks are on a tier higher than warriors and workers (who are more comparable to the majority of the illithoid), but are only found in the main complex. Depending on the route, it's a shorter walk than the illithoids too, and doesn't require wading through the Illwaters.

The best influence grounds are EtherWilde and EtherGlom, by far. In the right lunar phase, daughters are worth as much as 3.66% esteem each, and they're really no harder than Quettle even at their peak. Not sure how much good that does you, though!
Moiraine2009-08-31 18:05:11
I'm such a noob. I wouldn't even know how to get there on my own, heh.

It does no good to anyone because the things don't exist.

Is Gate in Cosmic supposed to allow one to transverse to Astral from the Cosmic planes? I've been doing it for years, and recently had someone tell me that I'm bugged because of it. I do not have the astrogate ability in Planar.
Everiine2009-09-01 18:03:02
The AB file for the skill isn't very specific.. it just says "You can travel to or from the cosmic realms from any planar gate." What kind of gate are you using? The nexus, or a rift of some sort? I guess you could BUG yourself and see what the Admin say.
Morellyn2009-09-01 18:20:12
I'm using a Nexus. If I don't get a clear answer here soon, I will certainly bug it. I just hate wasting the Admin's time. Is there any ability I may be forgetting about, that would allow travel to and from the Astral plane from the Cosmic plane via the Megalith of Doom?

Better to bug than to not bug

Bugged.

I'm thinking about buying a beast. What is the main difference between War Goats and Pegasus compared to say a horse? I mean other than inherent abilities.

Indeed. There have been plenty of times in the past where we've been bopped on the head by the Admin for not bugging something because we just assumed it was supposed to work that way. It is much better to bug and find out there is no problem than to not bug and find out later it's been a problem for so long because no one has bugged it.

Other than appearances the only differences are inherent abilities.

When dreamspeaking to other people (using the skill in Dreamweaving), is there any way for them to tell who it is? I've been plotting some RP that might get blown to pieces if your name shows up.

Also, can you hear says while in the dreamform?

Yes, there are skills to see who the dreamweaver is... it would be awfully overpowered if not. You'd be an essentially invulnerable stupidity-sleep-inducing cloud!
