Yeah, but it was always been 3(1+Heads) power, not whatever the new formula is. It was like that since the quest was implimented.

Are OOC references considered inappropriate when there's no explicitly OOC element in them?
To clarify, would saying something like "I find your lack of faith disturbing" be disallowed since it's a Star Wars reference?

You can usually get away with things like that. We have "woot" and "wot" as emotes, after all. It would become a problem if someone said that and you replied "That's enough! Vader, release him!".

If I were a god, I'd deduct role points for that.

Yet you'll hear Gods making clear Monty Python references in shouts.

Can Gods have their rolepoints docked? suspicious.gif

Yes, but their points are like their posts. Ridonkulously high.

Probation and community service?

Sometimes I quote Shakespeare but only when I'm sure no one else will know I'm doing it.
Tervic2009-08-13 18:11:49
I think if it's a veiled reference that doesn't explicitly mention OOC things, it'd be okay. Faith is IC, as is being disturbed, therefore "I find your lack of pants disturbing." would be a perfectly IC statement.

@Kephera quest. Very doable. Did it the other day.

But there is no honours line for it.

I've never seen a vague statement that could be viewed as a reference/quote to a movie as a dockable offense. For instance, if you said, 'Frankly, I don't give a damn' - why would I dock? So what if it's a near quote of the Gone with the Wind movie. Or if someone demanded the truth and someone responded, a la A Few Good Men, "You can't handle the truth!".

If someone said, "Use the force, Luke!" right before some -mancer named jimmybob tele choked, you'd probably get docked. If you're talking about commands, you'll probably get docked. If you're talking in ebonix, you'll probably be murdered for crimes against the english language. pirate.gif

Fear keeps the totems in line, fear of that skill.

Fairly sure that was the release price.
Krackenor2009-08-14 03:07:21
really? I could have sworn it used to be 250k. Hmm...
Everiine2009-08-14 16:29:04
I always thought it was 300,000.
Xenthos2009-08-14 16:42:11
It was 350k when I first started my manse RL years ago.

And 350k when we made Ilosia, the Commune's aethership, shortly after aethercraft came out.

So, uh... it's been this price since at least the first year and a half of Lusternia's life.
