From my one or two trips out to aetherspace... it seems most of the empath skills are currently geared towards PVP... So if you have a crew that plans to engage in combat it might be necessary. Though, now with the nexus conflict system gone, there is no real reason to attack other ships. As far as PVE is concerned, training to master Empath/Aethercraft seems to be enough. Most of the time you are spamming to cure Chair / Grid / Hull / Modules (in that order I believe). A nice compromise would be to train up to scan at Expert.

Just my two cents. I'm sure someone with much more experience could give you more detail.

Yes, most of the skills are to PvP (that is healing affs on modules, linking to other ships in a number of ways). the Trans skill does seem to be a PvE (according to Xiel's site)

I believe Roark and Estarra do not give out favors under normal circumstances, saving them and disfavours for administrative purposes.

Question for anyone that knows it, In Xion, I've sorta figured out what I need to do at the beggining, but the second part has me stumped, I don't know how to GET to the next part of the puzzle, anyone help?

I don't remember there being distinct 'parts' to the quest, only a huge mess of interlocking segments, some of which just happen to need to be done before others if you want all the timing to come out nicely.

Regarding the event stuff: When did it start? If it ends any earlier than 10 hours from now, I will be a very sad panda indeed.
