Beyond that, Roleclaiming a cop is just stupid because without a doctor protecting you then you'll end up (ww1 equivalent of waking up with cement shoes)

That's not stupid...if the doctor believes you (and you're not a complete plonker and get yourself modkilled) you're safe until he dies.

I see Ryleth reading. We can always hope we have a medic who can revive Shaddus, I guess.

I think traditionally you can't revive from modkills.
Rika2008-09-02 09:46:07
Oh right. Another doh.gif
Arix2008-09-02 09:46:10
We knew the random number god was pissed when he kept trying to kill Rika

That counts on a single night killer. It also requires that the town not distrust you and think you're making it up.

A loud crack is heard in the distance and an enormously over-sized artillery shell squashes Shaddus in a fiery, squashy death sequence. The remaining company are unharmed but shaddus...well he had it coming

From on high a delicate note falls down, bathed in glorious sunlight

It reads: Don't break the rules or more shells will be fired

SHADDUS

QUOTE
Private Cecil Huntingdon-Spitz
Role: Mafia (communications)

The cheek of the court martial board! Stripping you of your officer rank, held by the family for generations. Do they not have any sense of propriety? And what is worse is you are festering with the ‘common’ man in this company. Well, you’ll have to take your revenge old boy.

Thanks to old contacts in the higher echelons of the military, you call use your radio to call in favours. Three times in the game you can attempt to discover more about your ‘comrades’ by messaging the moderator INVESTIGATE (person)

Life in the officer corps has taught you the value of a steely look, and boy you have one of the best. You can hold someone in such awe of your pose, they won’t notice the steely sword entering their chest.

Steely Look - One a night, one of the mafia can attempt to kill a person. Simply message the moderator, KILL (person)

You win when the mafia outnumber or equal the town. You fellow mafia are:

Night one falls

Send your night choices promptly

I feel I should re-iterate, follow the rules. Copy and pasting your role pm and changing a few lines of the wording isn't going to cut the mustard. In fact, just to be safe don't use the same format as the role PM for your roleclaims.

Dawn rises over the idyllic little wood, dappled sunlight playing upon the singing birds which peck happily at a gaping hole in Casilu's head.

QUOTE
Private Danny Archer
Town: Soldier

You enrolled with your twin brother (removed) at the same time, trained together and joined the same campany. You even sleep in the same basher – isn’t that nice. You just want to get home, start up some car washing company together and hold barbecues in your back lawn. Is that too much to ask?

During the night you may talk with your brother (removed)

You win when all threats to the town are eliminated
Further searhes reveal Furien, dead in the bushes, his face a bloody pulp

QUOTE
Private Arnold Lowson
Town: Decorated Hero

You are the finest soldier the academy has ever turned out, brilliant at all disciplines, heroic, courageous to the boot. You’re the type to sing tally ho, recite lines such as Dulce et decorum to anyone who will listen. You superiors love you and you’ve won the highest medal of honour for brass shining and shoe polishing – the epitome of a fine soldier.

Unfortunately you’re an idiot, war isn’t glorious and polishing your shoes in battle is just plain silly. Therefore out of spite this mod is awarding you diddly squat in special powers. What? Disappointed? Fine.

SHINE BUTTONS – During the game you may post SHINE BUTTONS in order to - you guessed it, shine your buttons. This does absolutely nothing at all.

You win when all threats to the town are eliminated

Day Two Begins

With 11 alive, it's 6 to lynch
Shiri2008-09-03 02:01:03
Hm, damn, two nightkills.

I was going to vote Othero for trying to defend Shaddus badly yesterday, but given how he and Casilu kept mumbling about being paired together all the time, and Casilu has been revealed as a mason...I'm not so sure.
Arix2008-09-03 02:02:11
Crap. Well it doesn't look like we're doing an Axis vs. Allies type of game
Furien2008-09-03 02:04:28
Deja vu.
Shiri2008-09-03 02:04:55
Oh, and since Shaddus was lying, did our actual cop (hope we have one) find anything?
Unknown2008-09-03 02:04:59
Well, I feel like a idiot for defending Shaddus. Yeah, me and Casilu are masons.
Arix2008-09-03 02:06:29
I don't think anyones gonna answer that on day 2, Shiri.

Uh...they would if they found a scum...*peer*
Arix2008-09-03 02:08:49
Well I suppose so
Shiri2008-09-03 02:15:25
Shiri, Rika, Dag, Archer, Xavius.

These are the people who voted Shaddus before fortune conspired to help get rid of him for us. Obviously none of them are "proven" safe but I want to start investigating the people who have provided the minimum of content:Vote: Xiran and Saran. Saran's entire post was "unvote, OOC stuff" (and the vote was a random on Arix.)
Xavius2008-09-03 02:18:38
Vote: Shiri

Two big reasons. One is the very reactionary anti-Rika push early on. The other is the very early fishing for power roles just a couple posts above this. Scummy McScum.

The other option I want to look at is Rika. While Rika doesn't seem as scummy as Shiri, the scummish defense was definitely Rika-centric. If we lynch Rika and she turns up scum, we can probably catch most of the rest by methodically clearing out everyone else that jumped to her rescue, or spare the rest if her role reveal turns up clean. Lynching Rika's scummiest looking associate doesn't actually give us any information to go by for the rest of the game.
