Shaddus' scumminess is mostly his defence for his vote and the attitude he had when I called Daganev out on his. That said: Unvote: Shaddus, Vote: Xavius because his only post has been "bandwagon vote: Rika" and then hiding.
Also, you sure Shaddus started the German thing? That was me, I thought.
Casilu: quite right, I was trying to stop you all lynching Rika because people either randomvoted her or changed from other people to randomvote her before she even woke up.

Huh. I guess I can imagine Shiri reading my role, though my nickname is an Americanism?

Hi, I'm here. Sorry, got randomly busy.
I'm not sure I get the two votes on Arix. He'd barely said anything and you were all "SUSPICION RAWR!" Believing in the power of the gods of static or the gods of random card draws seems like a better reason for a vote than Arix being Arix. Don't you all see the rest of his posts on the forums?
Shaddus, ok, whatever. He's another one of those people who always seems a little suspicious, maybe because he's not that bright. Iunno. Maybe that one's worth pursuing.
There was a suspicious anti-Rika push early on. Spearheaded by Serens, so that could be RL friends sticking up for each other, but I think that's the first time I've ever heard Shiri say that we don't want a roleclaim on day one, and even more suspicious that Shiri said something to the effect that his name might not perfectly fit in with a theme. So, for now, my vote is staying right where it is, and I've got my eye on Shiri.

No, it was Shaddus that started the German thing. And Shiri, my vote for Rika was not random, I had a reason.

Hey, you, try to post with your reasons when you do that. That's better for everyone than any ol' roleclaim.
Arix2008-09-02 02:35:35
I posted the reason with the vote, silly
Arix2008-09-02 02:37:47
As to the votes on me, the first was random, and the second was because I hadn't posted yet due to the timing of the game, and people jumped on that.

Anyone so ashamed of his reasoning that he either can't remember it or won't repost it either has no good reasoning or is not useful to the town.
Arix2008-09-02 02:40:16
You're just using laziness as an excuse to vote for someone.
Arix2008-09-02 02:45:53
In any case, my reasoning, for those of you who are unable to click back a page, was that it seemed to me as if Rika was jumping to vote for me in an attempt to draw attention away from herself. This is just my opinion, but it's at least as logical as some f the other votes around here. Also, FOS: XAVIUS for going after me on extremely flimsy reasoning

I certainly do want a roleclaim on day one, and I don't particularly mind if it's Rika: I just don't want it to be "because everyone changed their votes to bandwagon her before she'd even got up." And what do you mean my name might not perfectly fit in with a theme? Did I say that?
Unvote Xavius for also waking up. Vote Shaddus. again.

I'm not sure we need to make Rika roleclaim entirely on the basis of a randomly generated bandwagon when she hasn't said a word. Remember that roleclaims are mainly for giving people a second chance before slaying them, we don't -want- roleclaims for no reason (generally). Plus, I've never heard of my role so there's probably no usable theme.
Vote: Daganev for switching over to bandwagon on Rika when his vote was somewhere else, even though she hasn't said anything/done anything.

This is what I was referring to. I don't know about you, but I don't think my role could have been any more precise, clear, or grounded in something very visibly mentioned in the setting text.

Right, all I was saying is, it's not the name of a hero or a famous war veteran or anything, it's a random soldier name (though I could probably date it to early 20th century Britain.)
Arix2008-09-02 03:05:53
I don't think you'd have a well-known hero in a 'crack company of troops', so I can believe Shiri. I've never heard of my person either

So, you stab people in the back if they aren't around, but once they are, you pick someone else? How...traitorous.

Maybe you are just protecting Rika for some reason, and I'm too naive to know why. But it IS a bit suspecious.
And I can't spell, either.
Xavius2008-09-02 03:09:13
Ok, fair enough. If he came back with "I'm Lustav Williamson, the German immigrant turned UK-sympathizer who used to play the bagpipes and I can use my bagpipes to annoy a traitor until he shoots himself if I target him at night," I'd've had to change my vote. The theme seems really clear.
Arix2008-09-02 03:12:51
Shaddus and Xavius seem rather hostile
Arix2008-09-02 03:13:22
