My name speaks of my ancestry and the mindset of my parents, who wouldn't give me the name they did without having spent a lot of time on it. Not going to change - though expand, hopefully. Thus I'm hoping my coming kidlets will think the same, and let my legacy with them into their lives.
Old-fashioned? Quite so.

I would change my name to Carol instead of 景美, simply because I go by Carol and no one says 景美 right...

This sounds like a character in Boogie Nights. Anything you care to share Murphy?

I've met a bunch of people who go by unofficial names as well, instead of their given (cultural) one. I would much prefer the latter though! My English (and only recognized) name was given by my grandparents, but it hardly reflects or means anything. However, I still don't have a middle name, so...

I would change my name to Odin. No surname required.

I had a friend in highschool named Michael Huntsucker. It was years before the humor value sank in - I saw him one day down the hall between classes and yelled to get his attention. But I noticed there were a couple of other Mikes standing next to him, so...
"Mike! Hey, Mike Huntsucker!"

I would love to become Mrs J'Andra D'onofrio.
Mmm he is my new celebrity crush.

Tytti Elisa Halenius
-that's my real name.
Almost. Anything. Else.
Tytti is derived from tytto in Finnish, meaning a girl.

...Oooh... Gabriel Trent.
Even though I actually quite like my real name (Except for having to repeat it at least three times before people get it right), I've always quite liked the name Gabriel for no particular reason. And Trent is a nice, simple name, while still retaining some similarity to my current surname.
But actually, I love my name. For no reason. It's just very me. Probably because it is me. And because it's unusual enough that there are probably very, very few more people than me with this name, if any.

Can't really think of anything to change my name to, because I'm Vietnamese but hardly speak the language. It would be weird to have an English sounding name.
Anyways, did you know there was a female chinese athlete named Manli Wang?

Not as funny if you speak Chinese, and know how F'ed up pinyin gets... of course it is hard to transpose Chinese in general, no way I can think of spelling it because there is a sound that the Roman alphabet simply does no have. But the n and l sound is somewhat combined in a weird way kind of like a nasel L... and 'Wang' is the same as Wong just no one says either right.
