It's very easy to tell the difference.
Aerotan2010-01-17 08:14:20
Just pointing out that it being in the prompt is not always the best indicator.
A thought, though. Could truehearing be extended to also allow you to "hear" what's said when someone's voice is drowned out by the wind?

The prompt flag alone doesn't tell you, but anyone can check his/her defenses, and that gives you the complete picture.
And, no, the windtalking thing is a separate ability that people can learn. Besides, there are easy ways around that, like talking on a squad channel.

Last time I checked, didn't Treant know if you had truehearing or not and cured deafness automatically based on the prompt? ;

Yup, and that supports my point. However, I know not everyone uses my code.

I know. I'm just making a plug.

I would like to suggest two bond abilities - "bond map" and "bond emote".
"bond map" is for easier navigation - it's like the regular map command, only it shows the area your bond is at.
"bond emote" is for roleplaying - make your bond do whatever you want.

The map, maybe, though it's a dingbat item (to find players, though, not bonded animals). The emoting is reserved for custom beasts.

You hear Mathilda say, "I'm so silly, listen to this silly thing."
You hear Harry say, "Lolwut?"
You hear Fernando say, "I WHIP OUT MY

I consider myself to have a colourful vocabulary, and I can even fill in some of the blanks in that post...but some of those other censored words leave me at a loss.

I just randomly threw in censor smilies because I didn't feel like writing out a mudsex monologue, then purposely murdering it, then censoring it. Way too much work.

Oh, I would have so much fun with this ability.

They have a veil in Achaea for this, and it makes people stand in rooms just saying random weird stuff, hoping that there's a person listening on the other end. It's a fun little novelty sometimes.
Unknown2010-08-06 22:59:41
The Achaea structure you're all talking about is the Universal Membrane. It's like a game-wide, random Crow Eyes. Much fun sometimes.

Could be something in the Sentinel guildhall. A room full of monitors that tracks everyone in the world, and every once in a while one comment can be heard above the endless chatter.

That would be scary as
But how about an ability that lets you edit dreams of people sleeping around you, for nightmares or good dreams or night terrors.

Sounds... pretty awesome actually. Build it!
Should probably respect Blue and such, and not work in manses though.
