Now I'm even more confused... Green was made easier to use to cure with.. i.e. you can use green while prone. How does that affect not using green to cure slitlock?

There were two changes to slitlock curing. Cleanse can be used to cure slickness (need to be standing, unentangled, etc). Green/Gedulah can also be used to cure slickness/slitthroat (do not need to be standing, unentangled, etc, but costs 3p).

ahh but if we make them waste their cleanse with things like ecotplasm, it will do fine... whore ecto if they cleanse to cure it (people with cleanse enchants) they may run out... then hit for the slitlock

Bad idea if they have a cube. A better use for ectoplasm would be try and get them balance locked and slitlocked at the same time, which is possible since they won't be able to cure scabies while slitlocked. That may be the only way to truelock now. Of course, if you get scabies from your contagion it might be better to just ectoplasm and pinleg them with senso on your swords. Unless they already have a calamus outrifted it's going to be very hard to writhe off.

Also, was Hefty Axe and Hefty Sword upgraded? Can't remember seeing if they did that or not, or if they are planning to install those in soon??

As I said in the other thread, those changes were the only ones that were rejected. If you have another, different suggestion for how they could be upgraded, get your envoy to envoy it in a minireport.

Subj: Special Bard Envoy Updates

These are some changes to music and song abilities as requested by the
bard envoys in a special report as well as changes discussed with
envoys. There may be more forthcoming changes in an addendum report that
was subsequently requested. Again, these are only music/song
effects--there are still upcoming Acrobatic changes which Sior is
currently working on.

There is a new skill in music called "Blankchord" which gives the
blanknote effect to all enemies in the room. It is a power skill and
will not stun.

For both Blanknote and Blankchord, there is a side effect wherein eating
faeleaf will not give the sixthsense skill for a random amount of time
(though it will still cure deafness and blindness).

There is a new skill in all the song specializations called
CaptiveAudience which will greatly change the tactics of bard songs.
I'll leave it to the bards to explain.

SickeningPlague in Necroscream has been upgraded.

Processional and Starlight in Starhymn have been upgraded.

Blankchord costs 5 power.

Blank noting someone seems to actually hit yourself. Yeah, most likely a bug.

The time duration between restoring deafness gives a message along the lines of 'The ache in your ear canals subsides.' I can't recall it.

I don't quite understand Captivate. BlankNote/Chord will break it? So if they go deaf again, you have to undeaf them, then captivate again?

I think captivate is intended to deal with issues of warring bards on opposing teams. The bard captivates his team, then other bards can't attack the allies, without them first attacking with blanks.

Yep, I think that's right. This probably won't have as great an effect on 1v1 with a Bard though, unless the non-Bard fighter was smart enough to get captivated by someone else. This would probably be very interesting for raiding/defending, although to be honest the 5 power cost of blankchord seems to be a lot right now...actually, Music in general seems to take a lot of power...

Can you captivate another Bard though? Will they not be affected by their own songs then?
