yeah, if you mean demons and angels are twisted and corrupted fae
otherwise mage/druid pets are not crit immune as well as tracker pets and I think even artifact pets aren't crit immune. Why should they get the only ones that are?

Shamarah2007-07-06 19:32:31
Because they have to spend 10p on wrath/scourge and a 8x, 16x, or 32x crit instantly nullifying all that would be lame.
Krellan2007-07-06 19:36:15
not like we never had to spend 10 power on drawdown, hexaura, channels, and sense to be stripped by inquisition or a judgement
but at least they got changed

but at least they got changed
Shorlen2007-07-06 19:38:53
Krellan, I think you ENTIRELY missed the point. Several points. One being that you have no 10p skill that is canceled by your fae dying in a single hit. The other being that you have nine fae, so it will take a minimum of nine hits to kill them all. In a sense, your collective Fae are "immune" to criticals in the sense that you can't kill them all with a single WSC.
Krellan2007-07-06 19:44:25
oops, well I actually saw the point I kinda of just ignored it so I could use that sad smiley I like so much -->
look how sad it looks.

That's partially valid. Still, most MDs rely heavily on pooka and pixie. If the rest are alive and those two are killed, their offense is slowed down pretty drastically. So, instead of counting the 9 fae, I would reduce it to say that the two most important offensive fae can be killed in two hits and take two power to resummon. I don't think the problem is that the 10p skill can be counteracted by the WSC, but that a major part of the celestine's/nihilist's offense can be removed with a simple WSC. While I don't think that fae need to be made crit-immune, Krellan actually has a valid point in that a MDs offense could be easily slowed down (to a lesser degree than guardians) in two weak critical hits.

The tracking upgrade means crap when they can still be hit by crits. I killed my dog in four seconds.
1. You're a very high level and do exceptional damage, meaning you're a little atypical on the scale.
2. Crit-immunity was suggested before (maybe not for the tracking pets, I forget) and turned down.
3. Warriors, yes even trackers, have a very good offensive that will tend to distract a person from killing your dog.
4. I didn't spend 10p for my giant eagle. I spent 250cr and 150,000gp for him, and Kaervas killed him in about three or four hits.

Artifact pets are not killable though .... when they say invincible, they really mean invincible. *Sends Selyadi to terrorise furrikins*

Nothing terribly worthwhile, if you ask me. I get the idea of Sacrifice, but it only works when you stay in the same local area as the person for whom you sacrificed (targeted form) or you have to lose your life and not conglutinate (which I understand this better, really) to target an entire area.

I was severely disappointed when someone finally told me what it did. It is in NO way equivalent in usefulness or power to DarkRebirth, though the old one used to be.
There's a very good reason why I refused to suggest replacements for the old Sacrifice when Estarra decided on a whim to remove it =( It was the only skill many people liked at all in the entire Stag skillset, and it's been replaced by crap. Oh well, not my problem anymore

Unknown2007-07-11 17:49:17
If it worked by targeting someone and letting them leave your area, I'd be more inclined to use it. I'm not about to give up a major portion of my health, mana, AND ego, however, to let someone else run into a fight without me, and I'm not running into the fight without the major portion of my defense, either. Sacrifice should not be without purpose or reason...

The only reason I'll ever like the new Sacrifice is if they give the old one to Healing.

Sacrifice+Trueheal=lol?
SacForAllies+SacRes=lol? (it was bad enough with the horribly OP construct power, which never should have existed)

Moondancers don't have the OP combos we were all worried about when moving StagSac to Healing was brought up when I was still an Envoy =P
