If you use zMUD, and want to have a neat-looking wrapwidth 0, try the following: View -> Preferences -> General -> Word Wrap -> then set to:

Word Wrap
Auto Wrap

Wrap Column
Wrap Indent.

I did that, and I did it without that too.... the lines looked nice, but the pause between doing "ql" and actually seeing the room was like .5 seconds.... and then.... OMG when I walked into a new room, it causes a 2 second pause before you even see you have moved into a new room..... I don't get why my Zmud is acting that way, but are any of you getting insane pauses(lags) between moving rooms or even doing "ql"??

- You may now beseech a god with a custom prayer when you PRAY at a shrine.

How does this work?

(At a shrine) PRAY TO MORGFYRE OH WISE AND MIGHTY LORD OF LORDS, THOU ART THE GREATEST
Malarious2007-06-05 06:17:53
pray
Syntax: PRAY FOR SALVATION
PRAY TO
Rika2007-06-05 08:39:45
What exactly does that do? Besides obviously sending a neat message to your Divine?
Ashteru2007-06-05 12:40:31
Hmm...that change to totems will kill commune power regen, won't it?

If the totems generate 10 power a day then it just gives 11*(the number of totems) rather than 12

... Damn I didn't even think of that yet. Guarding the around 30 entrances into Serenwilde is almost impossible already. But if we lose the power from the Totems it'll become really pointless even -trying- to. I guess I'll have to start dismissing guards soon then, but I swear if we get idiots again that just enter the Wilde to cudgel / nature curse near-novice people I'll get pissed.

The guards never helped much against major raids but they -did- keep the idiots out. If we stretch them any thinner they're just bash fodder. (Not that guards aren't in the first place anyhow.)

For reference. Living Totems used to give 2700 power each month. A while ago that was changed to them giving 2700 power every -three- months, so 900 per month. That still funds like 36 guards though. Without it.. *shrug*

Nono, I meant....totems revert back to trees after a while. And then, they don't produce power anymore.

It's not too difficult to keep them carved as per the the ab, it just means we need to keep on top of it. (i.e yell at a druid if you see the power contribution go down or an elder tree somewhere)
Also are you sure about the per month thing, I just checked the power log and it doesn't match what you said.

Yes after a year and a day, then you carve them again using a fraction of the power they generate
Ashteru2007-06-05 13:20:02
Glom would have to have druids for that. ~la

1.) Yeah it's just another upkeep cost I guess. But it should be 2660 power each ig year too. (or 1330%).

2.) Last I checked I could only find the Living Totem entry every 3 rl days, and the power they generated likewise only ever 3 rl days. It -might- have been a bug. The Serenwilde powerlogs have been buggy for.. a long time now. Sometimes not showing whole rl days and instead appending those at the previous rl day or the one after. Perhaps that messes with the Living Totems too. Or it was a sneak change.

The upside of the whole matter is that druids will finally have a reason again to take runes as third skill. tongue.gif

Oh well, I'm more than happy to send some of our axe-wielding maniacs into Glomdoring to get rid of the totems so you don't have to look at them if you want *halo*

This is not an uncommon phenomenon among certain circles.

smile.gif anyway, I'm already looking at something to help us keep an eye on the trees that doesn't require someone to run around the entire forest every day
Daganev2007-06-05 15:48:05
Umm, Master trees give power, as do saplings, as do totems, just not as much power.
