So the divorce rate in Lusty doesn't go sky high??

A warrior with 5k health would get 750 each tick from that. Mercy would add another 250. That's 1000 passive health regen not considering that they could have other regen besides mercy. It's not like it's too hard to get 5k health as a warrior unless you pick a low con/int race.
Yes, however, at that point, the difference between hallowed ground and drink would be about 500 additional health, while hallowed ground adds stuff to attacks, for example, too.
At that point, drink and hallowed ground aren't that far from each other in usefulness for warriors, however, as I said, at higher health values, drink wins nicely.

Drink for SDs and Hallowed ground for Celestines, however, would probably be even, since SDs get a bit additional health, but Celestines can use a few upgrades for their main offence, as well.
EDIT: Hmm, remembered that 500 health at 5k is a tenth of the maxhealth. Well, basically, drink is very nice defensively, while hallowed ground also has a few offense uses.

Shadows last longer than 2 minutes, of that I'm sure. Closer to 5 minutes, I think. Never timed it precisely, though.
Shamarah2007-05-31 02:05:53
10 minutes, actually.
Vaerhon2007-05-31 02:39:17
So Hallowed Ground lasts 10 minutes as a slightly more offensive / less defensive version of drink? Tweaks for being on Celestia/Nil?
Also - @Ildaudid. From what I've heard, you won't have issues with the Nil implementation of it.

Eh, it's not that big a deal. Heretic afflictions are all easy to handle, infidel damage is laughable, the anti-ghost thing is pretty pointless and impractical to actually use, the only really good thing about it is the affliction curing.
Antighost thing?

Was told it lasts 2 mins and ticks every 10 seconds. not lasts 10 minutes. Think Forren just typo'd when he said 10 mins.
But could you imagine..... lasting 10 mins ticks every 2 seconds

I don't care as much as others do about being allowed to make Nil into Holy/Supernal ground stuff, just as long as Angels dont get to come with them

@Yrael, I think the anti-ghost thing he means, is in that room you cannot ghost, since the room is considered consecratated/hallowed ground. Meaning if you need to ghost, get outta the room ASAP!
Vaerhon2007-05-31 03:34:19
10 second tick is fine. 2 second tick would be excessive.
Whatever the duration turns out to be, then. I'd probably like it longer for hunting applications, as with drink, but given the offensive/ally benefits, I can see why there are worries about area-wide hallowing.

Actually with drink/hallowed ground on a bashing level, I only see it being useful that way, when you are bashing a place where mobs track to you, so you wouldn't have to move.
But stacking numen/hallowed ground and linking astral, I think you should be able to get enough links in to keep it up for a good while.

I believe it does less than Healspring. If that's the case, it's not going to make or break a bashing trip.

Stacking numen and hallowed ground? Spending 4 power every 20 to 30 seconds and 3 power every two minutes? Maybe if you kept linked constantly you'd regain enough power to keep it up but chances are good you'd die a painful death. It really doesn't heal that much.

Oh yeah, most people wouldn't be able to do it, but say if Forren was a Celestine.... have you seen that boy link?? It's no picnic ending up on the same node as him when he is bashing.
And yeah every so often, you will have to forego using numen until you link enough power back, but yeah I am only seeing that combo idea for high end bashers. And yea, it may not be worth it.

I'd much prefer an Aqua demesne for bashing. Sweetfount+Healspring > HG.

I prefer geo demesne for bashing! We have...um...stonewalls! No wait, they go through those...
Nope, geo demesnes are useless. Scratch that, I'm moving to Celest.

geo stonewall is good for fear related astral mobs so you don't run out of the room
